My apologies if a thread already exists. I did a search on "Toomey" and found nothing.
I arrived at my polling area (suburban Philadelphia) at 6:45 am to hand out palm cards. The weather is terrific this morning, but turnout (I thought) was light (I had to leave at 9:15, but will be back).
Actually, I have a good feeling about Pat.

Allegheny went for Toomey. That is VERY encouraging.

Yep...and when Specter stabs Bush in the back as chairman of the Judicial Committee, I hope he's happy. But he likes getting stabbed in the back for being nice, he did it with Ted Kennedy and others.
Bush has too much daddy and not even mom in him. He's a wuss. So I hope the GOP suffers with Arlen Specter. Or I hope Specter loses in Novemeber. I don't a flying "f" anymore on whether the cowardly GOP has control of the Senate. They haven't done a thing with control.

yep. you'd think a bush endorsement would be good for at least a percentage point or two.

Washington went for Toomey as well....Although, that does not surprise me as much..Still stunned over Allegheny..

If Bush had stayed neutral, this race would have been Toomey's for sure. But then again, Spector is a Bush Republican.

I'm as baffled as you are bud. They must know something we do... nah, they're just being overly optimistic... Unfortunately, Toomey needs to win by a huge margin in the remaining vote tallies.
To: montag813
Toomey gained 8500 votes when it went from 73% to 77%, the totals were Sp-315.7 to T-296.2 then Sp-338.9 and T-327.2.
So, 8000 votes can be made up in a hurry. Does anyone know what is not reported?

The Dem candidate only has about half of the Spectre/Toomey total. A preview of November turnout?

It is most likely that the remaining prescints are in the central part of the state because they use paper ballots to vote and those all have to be hand counted.
That's Toomey Country!

The thing is skin tight. I can't get the relative turnout numbers. Specter didn't get the margins he wanted in his areas, and Toomey didn't get his. It is all up in the air. There is not enough available data on the net, to say anything.
