Didn't you all get your instruction packet on how to do a DNS attack? - Is that the same one as the DNC attack?
To: Izzy Dunne
"What am I missing?" They were referring to cache poisoning. It is possible on poorly configured DNS servers to fake an authoritative query and temporarily associate a domain name with an IP addy of your chosing which will effectively redirect traffic to a web site of ones chosing. Years ago I demonstrated live and online how this was done for some law enforcement types by changing my own net name to www.whitehouse.gov.
If someone IS doing this to them successfully it is indicative of very poor IT practices and I sure hope they are redirecting their site to some nice filthy porno sites! :)

you can slander an enterprise Just out of curiosity, what exactly would the enterprise's loss be given this fact set?

The RMS level measured by RIAA compensation isn't really OTT. . So then you're saying the SMPTE code caused the SP-DIF input to lose the MIDI data?
To: leadpenny
So what you're saying is that an SUV did it?

He only wishes that many people went to the Air America site.!
Wishful thinking on his part.
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you
If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do
Keep dreaming Pinnochio!

the extent to which said slander contributes to the marginalization of Free Republic and the attendant loss of hits, donors and potential revenue
looks like the real question might now be whether a judgment would be collectible, but it'd be nice to have put the nail in AA's coffin

I dunno, if the server they use to host the site is comparable in power to the radio stations that carry Air America, I would imagine the 486 they are using to host the site would crash after a couple of dozen web page requests.

He's projecting, because his supporters have hacked into and temporarily shut down every conservative Web site I know of, including (IIRC) FR.

I must confess I visited it myself. So if two freepers visit and it falls over in a heap as the TRS-80 they are hosting it on can't handle the load then technically I suppose it was a DoS attack.

He should be sentented to wear Air America (thong) panties on his head. Wait, that's too cruel and unusual.
