Hi all-
My mom indeed did have a stroke last week as I suspected. Fortunately, her vision is affected but there is no paralysis. She can't drive, obviously, and may not ever be able to drive but it could have been a lot worse.

After discussing my trip with the doctor, he thought it would be ok for me to go to San Diego - so I did. Since she was pretty ok after 24 hours, he felt like things were fairly stable.

I got home late last night - however, my luggage is still in limbo.....

I missed FR while I was gone - no computers available! I missed most of the hoo-hah about the prisoner story. Probably a good thing for me. ;)
