Well, that was certainly interesting. Her timelines are a bit off though. She mentions the father's friend visiting in May 1921, when he leaves abruptly. Then a few paragraphs later "several months pass" then "Everything changed on the night of June 7, 1921." This could only have been several weeks at best. Regardless, stories like these are interesting. I find that people are reluctant to talk about things that have happened to them. Although I have never seen anything resembling a ghost, I did hear very strange things in one of my old offices when I knew there was nobody else in the building. I've also spoken to some very credible people who reluctantly told me about some of their experiences. One guy, who is very religious, told me that his religion frowns upon these things. He told me that he never believed in any of it, and tries to avoid talking about it. He did tell me that after his father-in-law died, there was definitely a presence in the house where he lived. He told me that he denied it for a long time, but he had trouble ignoring what was going on. He didn't want to discuss it beyond that. A ghost story coming from him is something I wouldn't have expected in a million years. I'm hoping he provides details one day.

I visited a pub on the Thames R. where they say Bloody Judge George Jeffries still haunts the place. He used to stand on the porch and watch bad guys hung on the hill across the river.

The owner's wife was spooked at closing time and will not talk about it with anyone other than her husband.

Sorry Curly, that was MY error. I had the story put together and forgot the part about the visitor. I stuck it in where it went, and forgot about the "several month's pass" after it. Thanks for catching it.
