The public is less tolerant of a buffon right now, and Kerry is making himself a joke like Dean did.

I keep thinking back to Kerry's appearance on Leno back in the summer of 2003, when he was given an oil-free tooling by that insult dog puppet ("The poop I left on the dressing room floor is generating more heat than Kerry!") and then rode out on stage on his Harley. He showed himself to be a total assclown that night.
