Kerry melt-down following Gibson GMA interview
ABC Evening News
Posted on 04/26/2004 4:03:47 PM PDT by A Citizen Reporter
Peter Jennings just ran a piece on Kerry's Vietnam history. Included in the piece was a bit of video after this morning's interview with Charlie Gibson. Kerry (thinking he was off-camera) ripped out his earpiece, and said "I feel like they're doing the work of the Republican National Committee."

Aren't the delegates that Kerry already won in the primaries legally bound to vote for him on the first ballot?There is no "legally" when it comes to party politics. It is totally up to the party to select whoever they want. The Kerry delegates are bound by Democrat party protocol to cast their first vote for Kerry, but Democrats are not necessarily bound by anything. I see a fair possibility that Kerry will be "Torched" out of the nomination and replaced.

Pardon me? What "cheering section". I simply reported what I saw on the news, and asked others if they saw it or could record. Sorry, just adding a comment to the thread and your post happened to be the one I was reading when I hit the reply button. I was not posting in your specific direction.

I think he knew the microphone was onI think if Kerry was going to stage this kind of stunt, he would prefer to pull it on a Fox News program in order to shaft Fox and feed the rat propaganda that Fox is a Republican mouthpiece. In fact, when I first saw the thread title, I though, "uh oh", because I thought the reference was to Fox's John Gibson. I am delighted that Kerry was stupid enough to show his stupidity on ABC. That piece of stupidity has now effectively immunized Fox.

Hillary will run this year;
4 years in politics is an eternity;
her looks are fading fast . . .
Bush will beat Hillary in a landslide;
America doesn't want a shrieking, self-serving woman and her scandal-prone hubby running the War on Terrorism.

For the life of me, I can't understand how a doofus like that has run successfully so many times in the past Because he has only run in the People's Republic of Massachusetts with Uncle Teddy's hand stuck up his ass (although I don't see how there's room for that AND Kerry's head) operating his mouth.

Thanks for the video. Kerry is such a doofus.
Kings 94, Mavs 92...boo!

Was the Sharks winning a good thing for you?
To: socal_parrot
Oh yeah!
Sharks can sweep and rest while watching the Wings and Flames beat each other up over 6-7 games, then SJ "skate" into the SC finals.
It always looks good on paper.

Makes sense. Defy those two....look out. I can't believe they have that much power to get the lamestream media to jerk him around like that. Kerry is very thin skinned anyway.

I have never doubted that she would run this year, the only question was the way that she would enter the race. The 2008 objective MIGHT have been her original goal (giving her undeserved benefit of the doubt), but there were too many obstacles associated with it.
What I have speculated for the last year is that she would be drafted at the convention due to the prospective nominee not having sufficient support. The reason that Clinton appointed McAuliffe to head the DNC was to ensure that the "fix" for Hitlary was in. For all her blather, she can't wait until '08 because she needs to be re-elected to the Senate and, for several months, that has appeared to be less likely. Hitlary has lost substantial support in NY and her re-election in '06 is not assured. Without the Senate position as a launching platform, a Hitlary candidacy is toast on arrival.
IMO, the strategy is becoming clear. McAuliffe pushed the Dem primaries up in hopes that Dems would elect a "pig in a poke" and that's what they got. Kerry got swept into the position of prospective nominee before Dems really had a chance to learn anything about him. Now, as his baggage is being exposed to the public, Kerry is becoming his own worst enemy everytime he opens his mouth. In addition, Bubba's planned book release is timed specifically to steal the thunder from the Dem convention and Kerry's nomination. The press will fawn over his book and open the door for renewed passion to draft Hitlary.
Kerry, IMO, is not going to be the Dem nominee; Hitlary is.

She has been hungry for the position for sure. We will just have to watch and see how her tangled web unfolds...

There are some key signs emerging as to the strategy. The Village Voice dissing Kerry is bad enough, but being on Petah Jennings' sh . . .er, hit list AND having leaders in your own party suggest that you step down BEFORE the convention, PLUS Bubba's book coming out just before the convention all begin to add up to golden brown Kerrytoast.
I think as the convention gets ever closer, the pressure on Kerry to withdraw will get acutely intense. The next couple of months will be incredibly intense.
