Rat delays Dubai-bound Saudi Airlines Flight in Chennai

The presence of an "intruder", a rat, in a Dubai-bound Saudi Airlines flight, shortly before take-off from Chennai, delayed its departure.
The aircraft arrived from Dubai at 9.30 am and all 117 passengers had boarded it when a rat was found beneath a seat, airport sources said.

Plague Identified in Rodents in West Texas, Panhandle
The Texas Department of Health (TDH) confirmed today that _Yersinia
pestis_, the bacterium that causes plague, has been detected in wood
rats found dead in a rural location near the Midland-Glasscock
counties border in West Texas and in fleas from wild prairie dogs in
Dallam County in the Texas Panhandle.
