"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat"

Two Chinese diplomats, away from their Los Angeles consulate improperly, recently sped their vehicle past a Los Alamos National Laboratory guard post near classified facilities in what U.S. officials think was an intelligence mission, The Washington Times has learned.

Nevermind, looks like y'all are on top of this already. I was out shopping with my daughter and when I heard the news about Mayfield I just had to get to the 'puter to post it.

If I were writing the script and had him talking in front of a stranger, then I might well have him say 'bird' and not missile. His boss will understand what he means.

Of course he would! Get out more tinfoil.

Search for plane called off after false report of crash

Associated Press

McCORMICK, S.C. - A nearly two-hour search was called off after residents in South Carolina mistook a sonic boom for a plane crash Thursday, officials said.

"We have a lot of military aircraft that fly over the lake up here running practice drills," said Chris Doolittle, emergency services coordinator for McCormick County along the Georgia state line. "We did an extensive search of the area ... and have found no aircraft at all."

People saw a C-130 cargo plane and then heard the boom, which was actually generated by another jet nearby, said Courtney Franchio, a spokeswoman for Dobbins Air Reserve Base north of Atlanta.

"Someone saw a C-130 in the area, then they heard a sonic boom, so the assumption was a plane crash was occurring," she said.

Those perpetuating that our troops are evil are no better than the enemy. There are always a few bad apples, and at this point we don't know if they were "ordered" to do what they did, whether other Iraqis participated, or what the whole story is. The troops fighting for Iraqi freedom need our full support - nothing less! Whoever released those photos to the world at large should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. All other prosecution in the matter follows thereafter. If "higher ups" are involved, they should not be exempt from the same measure of discipline as the lowest ranking person involved.

What a great story. All of Gods animals are so wonderful, if I didn't have my dog Jack (rescued from a life of abuse to a life of love) I don't know what I would do.

We had a fox in Wyoming a red one who I called Foxy Loxy. He/she would walk right down our front path every morning and look at me through the window every time, they are just so beautiful.

Foxy did get into the garbage from time to time (at least I thought it was foxy) I never ran into any bears thankfully.

People............

If there is even a hint of a truck stock, be sure that you have a months supply of food on hand, more is better.

In the 1970's about 77, there was a Safeway truck driver strike. At that time, Safeway was Kingman's only big market and it was about 3 days until the shelves were bare and the little food that was for sale was only sold --one -- to a person.

You don't know what it feels like to walk into a giant market and find it bare, except for one short isle, and that little only available because the manager was hauling it from the Las Vegas Warehouse in his pickup..

Shortly after that there was the big truck strike and lots of shooting, dropping of bricks off overpasses and lots more that I don't even recall, only the fact that it was ugly.

If there is a strike, we will have big problems, as all the terrorists are waiting for a signal that the time is right and all the crazies will be out in full force.

Signs of the times, local news this morning, had 3 fifth graders expelled for plotting to kill an administrative official at the school.............

Thanks to B Knotts on the other thread here is more info on the Oregon Muslim Traitor. Can't wait to hear the wife's statement.BTW do you think the media will have this story on every 15 minutes instead of the Prisoner abuse story?

************************************************************ "He said that this guy was "detained," not arrested, by the FBI as a material witness because his fingerprints were apparently found on a bag containing bomb-making materials in the debris of the Madrid bombing.

This guy is a Muslim convert, who sometimes attends the Bilal mosque in Beaverton. He was either the lawyer or one of the lawyers defending Jeffrey Battle, one of the Portland 7.

There are lots of reporters camped out at this guy's house right now, and his wife is supposedly going to make a statement at any time."

What a great story. This time of the year we have wild bobtail kittens all over. The mama's have them in the woods and then bring them to the cat bowl by the door about 5 weeks and they are so much fun to watch.
Do you anything about turkey buzzards. They are my latest entertainment?

I don't watch the local news and I cancelled our subscription to the local 'Daily Dead Fish Wrapper", but I think I'll be watching them the next couple days.

What fun!

There was a pair of White Kit Fox at our Wellton place, they did well on the cat food.

If you are ever at Tucson, there is a Natural History Museum out in the hills, it is fantastic. All the areas animals in a natural setting.

but the best part, was the nursery, ask where it is. this is where you can watch the puny animals, a fox with a bum foot, a coyote baby, it is amazing watching them and the Lady who was the caretaker of them, was gifted by God, it was like watching a prayer at work.

The animals loved her, she was cleaning and feeding them things like chicken parts, some would try to bury it all in the sand box and one of them jumped for her shoulders, every time it thought he could make it, like she was one of them.

Wish I could remember who was there, fox, coyote and I think a young Ocelot.

The building has a glass wall, so you can watch.

In Wellton, I was either the Goat Lady or the Bird Lady, so people told me about animals.

Once it was a young deer that some folks had raised. I went out to their place and they allowed me to go and play with it.

The next day I was a solid bruise from knee to hip, he was growing horns and seemed to think my legs felt good to press against, I wasn't thinking of bruises at the time, after all it was the only time in my life that I could hug a deer.

Just one more of God's little gifts to me.

More signs of the times, as if Law Enforcement doesn't have enough to worry about, we have our own home grown terrorist.

Kalispell, Montana

Federal Agents Arrest 3 Flathead Men on Weapons Charges

Three members of an anti-government group in the Flathead are arrested. The investigation began in 2002, when Federal agencies uncovered an assassination plot by members of a militia group called "Project Seven."

The plot involved killing a number of Kalispell and Flathead County officials including the chief of police, the county attorney, district court judges and Flathead County Sheriff Jim DuPont.

There were 100's of buzzards just off the edge of my property in the Black Mountains, Turkey, I think, big black and the ugly red head, also crows.

The buzzards will not eat a rattlesnake for 24 hours, they will fly over and stake it out, but will not touch. Waiting for the venom (sp?) to dry.

One morning when I left for work, there had been a large Big Horn Sheep hit on the road and killed. The buzzards were there eating. At 6 PM, all that was left was the head and a bit of skin, amazing to know that they had eaten something as large as a Nubian Goat in 9 hours, one bite at a time.

The buzzards would do wonderful flights after a rain storm.

Watch and see all that you can, when you can, it is a short life and some day you may not be able to see or they will have been pushed back so far, that there are none to see.

Bells are tingling here.....

"Project 7"

Didn't one of the al qaeda threats recently have that in it?

I am tired, so maybe it was something else, but will look for it.

I remember back from my college days, some psych studies by a fellow named Stanley Schacter (sp.) He put subjects into a situation where they believed that they were administering electric shocks to another person- who was trying to learn a new task.

Anyway, the "subjects" in the experiment were encouraged to shock the learner if he made mistakes. (Actually- there were no shocks really being given to the learner at all.)

The subjects had a dial in front of them and could turn the strength of the shock up to almost a "lethal" range (or so they were led to believe.) To make it seem even more realistic, there were sound effects of the learner screaming in agony whenever shocked by the subject.

In the end, they found that while a few people would refuse to shock the learner, most people would cave in. Not only that, but if they were encouraged by the experimenter to shock in the highest/painful ranges, most people would go ahead and do it.

People in groups will do things that they never would do on their own. People can be easily influenced. That includes most of us, unfortunately.

I think that most of the soldiers involved probably never intended for things to get so out of control. However, a group mentality emerged where it was encouraged to humiliate the prisoners.

I seem to remember a project 8 that was supposedly "already underway." No, I'm wrong there. It was "Operation" 8.

For all my fellow TM Groupies,

I'm reading a book right now, "Memorial Day" by Vince Flynn. It keys in on the terrorist threat that we study and speculate on here. All about an al Qaeda nuclear attack on Wash. D.C. on Memorial Day during the unveiling of the WWII memorial.

I've read all of his books and really enjoyed them. This one is so prescient, it's scary....rather like reading the headlines of the future.

A line from the book which really jumped out at me...

"the Joint Counterterrorism Center. They had too many rules, and they were in a war with an enemy who had none."

How true is that????
