"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat"

Two Chinese diplomats, away from their Los Angeles consulate improperly, recently sped their vehicle past a Los Alamos National Laboratory guard post near classified facilities in what U.S. officials think was an intelligence mission, The Washington Times has learned.

I just can't give up on this country, though, Doug, and really there's nowhere else to go...

My ancestors came here a long long time ago, across the deep fathoms of the ocean, and fought for it in many wars. I'm not going back to those puny little countries they escaped from.

If the fool Kerry gets in that Oval Office or Hitlery, I don't know what the future will look like, but I won't just relinquish this land to them and their minions.

We can't let the morons have it! We can't just give it to them. There are more of us everyday, and better ways to band together now than in the past. We're making some inroads. Might take time though.

Hang in there!

Not to digress from the main topic, but I came across an interesting government report regarding bioterrorism via imported food.

They are concerned not only with food for human consumption, but with our animal feed as well.

It's long and tedious- so I've only left the highlights which caught my attention.

[Docket No. 2004D-0065]

Guidance for Industry: Questions and Answers Regarding the
Interim Final Rule on Prior Notice of Imported Food (Edition 2);

AGENCY: Food and Drug Administration, HHS.

ACTION: Notice of availability of guidance.

SUMMARY: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing the availability of a revised guidance entitled ``Questions and Answers Regarding the Interim Final Rule on Prior Notice of Imported Food
(Edition 2).''

The guidance responds to various questions raised about
section 307 of the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002 (the Bioterrorism Act) and the agency's implementing regulation, which require the submission to FDA of prior
notice of food, including animal feed, that is imported or offered for import into the United States.

(SNIP)

Consistent with FDA's good guidance practices regulation (snip) the agency will accept comments, but it is implementing the guidance document immediately, in accordance with Sec. 10.115(g)(2),

because the agency has determined that prior public

participation is not feasible or appropriate.

Ok GS people- what exactly does this mean? Hurry up and implement the plan (whatever it may be) without following usual procedures?

If there is a Costco in your area, you can buy a phone card for $19.99 that gives you something in the order of 640 minutes of long distance calling. Works out to about 3 cents a minute. There is no expiration date and they work very well. Handy at airports, payphones, or from your own landline home phone.

Like you, we are eliminating outsourcers from our family's purchasing. Made in America is an obsolete phrase. Indie is correct, the country is lost. We've given it away. All we're taking in are illegal aliens. The enemy are no longer just Middle Eastern types - they may be our judges, politicians or your soccer mom next door. If the above-noted MSN poll is in any way accurate, be very afraid because that 68% may very well seal the deal with the devil in November.

"consider it an art form"

Set up a poll or website, vote on which is the best art picture and award a certificate for it.

'They' will rush out to buy prints.

Only half way joking.

I've had the news either off or on mute most of today. If the sound is on I can't get to the remote fast enough to turn the iraqi prisoner story OFF. I can't say how mad I am about the coverage of this every 15 minutes on every channel. The local news (ALL OF THEM) led with that story (and now they are going to repeat it at 15 minutes into the show again) I'm sure the alphabet channels national news will show it over and over as well. I never watch them anyway.

I don't think President Bush should have apologized. I think a military person should have done it and said we will take care of it, we will not tolerate this behavior, they will be court martialed etc. (actually Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard B. Meyers did) They are making more of this than they should in my opinion!! Of course the liberal media is frothing at the mouth with this delicious story that they can now blame President Bush for and make us look as bad as Saddam to the whole world for the actions of a FEW.

Before I went to work they had great shows on HGTV and Food Network and History channel had a great show on the Rockies. ;-)

Sorry to continue ranting but this whole thing is so disgusting and it's so obvious what the media is doing, even Fox!! The next terrorist attack will be the medias fault for perpetuating the hate against our country. Let the (date unknown) commission investigate that. /rant

WHAT? And possibly HURT someone who is trying to kill us? Outrageous request - if they burn, decapitate, mutilate, we must be kind, thoughtful and considerate. Since a handful of them were photographed receiving improper treatment, the rest of them will receive velvet glove treatment (like in your best 5***** hotel)(no matter WHY they were imprisoned in the first place). Half have already been released to take out their anger on our troops once again. This time, however, they're probably REALLY TICKED OFF!!!

PC treatment requirement verified and scrutinized by every news channel on commercial, cable and satellite TV.

Must read........

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1130341/posts

"Let me recount to you a story... One day [two American soldiers] were hit by an IED in a hummwv... They got the one soldier out who was badly injured, but the fire was so bad that they couldn't get his friend out. They don't know if he was alive as he burned, but they had to watch. Now, that street that this happened on was one where they had built schools, improved much infrastructure, many many projects to make it a better and safer place. ...When the IED blew, across the street were some of those very same neighborhood people cheering. They cheered as our fellow American burned and the other one was dragged out. Now, these are tankers, and they have big BIG guns, and all were ready to fire. The soldiers, all of them seeing the tragedy of the attack, and seeing the sick group cheering across the street, they all held their composure. No one fired a shot, no one did anything inappropriate. They did exactly as they were trained."

Great idea. I have a few long distance cards left over from a recent trip abroad. My husband will be very happy to be done with the whole mess. My older brother refuses to get a cell phone....good idea as well.

Space Weather News for May 5, 2004
http://spaceweather.com

COMET NEAT: Long-awaited Comet NEAT (C/2001 Q4) is approaching Earth and
growing brighter. At closest approach on May 7th, it will be 0.32 AU (48
million km) from our planet and about as bright as a 3rd magnitude star.
The comet is now visible to the unaided eye--just barely--after sunset
from dark-sky locations in the northern hemisphere. It looks like a fuzzy
blob with a stubby tail. City dwellers are advised to use binoculars or a
small telescope. Visit Spaceweather.com for pictures of the comet and a
sky map.

METEOR SHOWER: Today Earth is passing through a stream of dusty debris
from Halley's Comet--the source of the annual eta Aquarid meteor shower.
Unfortunately, tonight's full Moon will outshine the display, reducing it
to near invisibility. Try listening, instead, using real-time links to
meteor radars on Spaceweather.com.

Good Google searches:
Also click the 'news' button at top for both:

what businesses are owned by muslims in United States?

who are the muslims in United States government?

somehow, this is not the same results from a few months ago, will have to play with the search.

Sorry I didn't respond to your question about the proportions for the mosquito formula - I was away for tow days, and when I came back everything was overwhelming! I do the Homosexual Agenda Ping list, so when I leave I have a lot to wade through. Literally.

Unfortunately I use essential oils the way I cook - don't measure too much. I bet there are formulas you could find by googling, Jeanne Rose is one of my favorite authors for aromatherapy, although there are many and no doubt many I've never heard of.

I just do MOSTLY citronella with lesser amounts of the others. Keep in mind that pennyroyal is rather toxic, although it shouldn't hurt as long as no one drinks it!!! I hate the smell of it, so I just use a little. I apologize for not being more scientific! I haven't used "regular" bug repellent for years, and the ones I mix myself seem to satisfy even my DH, and bugs LOVE him.
