RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie Statement Regarding Senator John Kerrys Comments on Good Morning America
Washington, DC-On an appearance this morning on Good Morning America, Senator John Kerry denied that there is any contradiction in conflicting statements he's made over the last 30 years regarding whether or not he threw away medals he received in Vietnam. RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie made the following statement in response to Kerry's comments this morning:
"The problem is not what John Kerry did or didn't do 30 years ago, it's what he's saying today, which once again turns out to be wrong."

The RNC should just shut the hell up and let Kerry do himself in all by himself, with a little help from Charlie and ABC News.

I think many people are missing the bigger pictures.
1) Were Kerry's Purple Heart commendations legitimate?
We already know that the first PH may not have been
because Kerry actually had the audacity to "request" a
Purple Heart from his C.O. who laughed it off and denied
Kerry a medal?
2) Did Kerry lie under oath and commit perjury when he testified before the
Senate committee that "mass atrocities" were committed by
him and G.I.'s during the Viet Nam war? (which we now
know was a lie)
3) Did Kerry commit treason by his words and/or actions against the Viet Nam war?
4) Did Kerry commit any crimes when he attended a meeting
of the Viet Nam Veterans Against the War and plot to
assassinate numerous United States Senators and fail to
report that meeting to the authorities?
As to whether he threw his medals or his ribbons over the fence of the White House is ludicrous. A serviceman/woman's medals and ribbons are synonymous.

The RNC should just shut the hell up and let Kerry do himself in all by himself... Kerry, himself said, "This comes from a president who can't even show or prove that he showed up for duty in the National Guard". - We should ignore that??

Not so. You can buy ribbons at the exchange. You can't buy a medal.

"You can't buy a medal."
There have been different stories about some of the medals that Kerry threw over the fence.
One story says he was given some of the medals from other "veterans" who may have or may not have earned the medals, another story was that some of the medals came from a pawn shop. So who knows...

Nice to see Kerry catching a little heat for his dishonesty. America better wake up to what this hollow trunk of a man/tree is!

The problem with the GOP all these years is that they do not go after BS from the dems. Why else do you think people in the GOP are considered, right wing wacko's, racists, religious fanatics on the scale with muslim terrorists, mean spirited, hateful, etc etc etc...

Do you think US saying anything about it will make Kerry STOP saying that?
I sure don't.

BTW Ya won't be able to purchase a medal at the PX but ya sure can purchase medals at pawn shops, Army/Navy surplus stores and online...of course they won't have your name on the back of them but you can sure buy them...and Kerry could have acquired another medal to replace any one he may have "lost" or thrown over the WH fence...all he had to do was show his DD214. And "Yes sir, Senator Kerry, we'll get that medal right over to your office, sir!"

Kerry said today that medals and ribbons were interchangeable, the same thing. And he said, in 71 that he "gave them back."
I think the questions should be asked:
You said you gave them back. Are they still given back, or did you at some time take back what you gave back?

No but people need to call Kerry out on the fact that it is ABC and not the GOP bringing the latest dirt out on him.

Yes, I agree.
My point was we have a candidate touting his medals - medals he gave back.
He want's it both ways once again.

He want's it both ways once again. Kerry wants to be on both sides of the fence - with his medals and without his medals, war hero and anti-war activist. He just can't stay with one side or the other. He is the antithesis of a leader. When asked to pick heads or tails, Kerry calls for the coin to stand on edge.

Not so. You can buy ribbons at the exchange. You can't buy a medal. Perhaps, but to the many of us who have no clue about this, they are one and the same - both a powerful symbol.
