Chinese Diplomats Rush Past Lab Guards (Los Alamos)
Washington Times ^ | Bill Gertz

Two Chinese diplomats, away from their Los Angeles consulate improperly, recently sped their vehicle past a Los Alamos National Lab guard post near classified facilities in what United States officials think was ian intelligence mission, the Washington Times has learned.

The diplomats, identified as Hua Yu and Bo Lai, were on an intelligence mission that is raising new worries of Chinese nuclear spying against the United States, according to US officials familiar with the incident.

Pajarito Road is the site of two sensitive facilities. One is the Critical Assembly Facility known as Technical Area 18, the other is the Plutonium Reasearch facility, known as Technical Area 55.

Both facilites are used for classified nuclear weapons activities.

A spokesman for Los Alamos declined to comment on whether the FBI was notified. An FBI spokesman could not be reached for comment.

From the article: " Miss Xiao [spokesperson from the Chinese Consulate] said she did not know whether the two men had gone to the Los Alamos laboratory, but they might have been trying to visit a museum at the facility."

IIRC, the museum was moved a few years ago and is no longer on LANL property. So much for that excuse!

The 'Chinese Diplomats' probably forgot hat this isn't Clinton's empire anymore.
During Clinton's stench in office, picatinney Arsenal was given a 5 mnute warning that 'Chinese Diplomats' were on their way, and that they (picatinney) had better give them the 'red carpet treatment' when they got there.
In otehr words, full access to research and development programs within the facility.
And absolutely no real warning given to give time to hide sensitive items and research.

Also sounds like Los Alamos labs should be 're-administrated' and the guards completely replaced.
There's no excuse for anyone to rush past guards in a secure area like that -and live.

The level of political correctness at this lab and at Sandia, exceeds all else; and that has continued by order of the President, who continues it in order to appease House and Senate socialists.

If they don't have the means to stop a Ford Escort, how do they plan on stopping a larger vehicle? Personally, the Escort should have been fired on. That would have definitely sent a message.

They didn't get the memo in the People's Daily that Clintoon is no longer in charge?

That car should've been treated like a car trying to get past a roadblock in Iraq.

I must, by needs, apologize for my horrible typing in my post.
I didn't proofread, nor did I hit the spell check.

Now imagine a van filled with fertilizer explosives and piloted by an Islamofascist getting through and blowing up next to a building with radioactive material and assembled warheads.

Why weren't they shot on sight?
