Hopefully, western Europe will recover from its somnolence, apathy and insularity, recognize the demons threatening them, and totally exorcize them before they can accomplish their objectives.

Old Europe is basically finished (by "Old Europe" I mean the old democracies and republics). "New Europe" will give the Islamists short shrift, I think, if they try their jihad there (I'm referring to Poland and the other former Soviet satellites that are now free: They are the New Europe).
