Although aznative came on a little strong, he seems to recognize that we are in a war. At least the other side calls it a war. Maybe we should acknowledge that we really are at war.

I would agree with him to the point that we must identify the enemy and defeat them by one means or another, quickly and with as little loss of life on our side as possible. I really think that the WWII model should be looked at. Several enemy cities, not just Hiroshima and Nagasaki, were turned into smoking ruins with hundreds of thousands of civilian casualties. Internment camps were set up and filled with people on the basis of their ethnicity.

We won WWII. Although people will not admit it, there are many parallels with the present struggle. It really is good versus evil and when you are battling evil you sometimes have to use unconstitutional methods. You also have to fight the war with less regard for the civilian population of the enemy than is now being shown.

Yes, but that would be highly non PC, and we all know PC is so deeply entrenched in western society, that I am not sure even a nuclear weapon going off on our (or Europe's) soil will be enough to dislodge PC.
