So the question du jour is not can anybody verify Bush was drilling in Alabama in 1972, but can anyone verify Kerry drilling in Massachusetts in 1972 (and 1971, and 1970). Is there not irony in that?

Don't short circuit here sparky.
Active reserve is the 48 drill status, Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) is non-drilling status.
Kerry is a creep, but he was not AWOL.

Well, well, well.
Let's ask Kerry to release ALL his military records, including the records while he was in the Reserves.
And how can someone be in the reserves and protest against his own government at the same time?

As much as I dislike john kerry (lower case intentional), I don't think he is guilty as charged in this case. It is my recollection that back in the 70's, anyone having already served three full years of active duty was not required to attend weekend drills as a reservist. He would have been a "non-obligor."

VERY good work! You deserve a prize... and Kerry deserves a kick in the, um, Democrat party mascot.

No. Kerry's a war hero. Scratch that. He's an enlightened war hero. :) HA!

From perusing that form it looks like the OCS officer serves for three years active duty then two more years in the Ready Reserve, then one year Standby, not three and three.

Ready Reserves are those who must attend drills This is factually incorrect. The Ready Reserve must only show up once a year at a nearby military facility, to update their current status (contact info, college courses taken, et al). The Ready Reserve does not drill.
