SUDAN ORDERS SYRIAN WMD OUT OF COUNTRY

LONDON [MENL] -- Sudan has ordered the removal of Syrian missiles and weapons of mass destruction out of the African country.

Arab diplomatic and Sudanese government sources said the regime of Sudanese President Omar Bashir has ordered that Syria remove its Scud C and Scud D medium-range ballistic missiles as well as components for chemical weapons stored in warehouses in Khartoum. The sources said the Sudanese demand was issued after the Defense Ministry and Interior Ministry confirmed a report published earlier this month that Syria has been secretly flying Scud-class missiles and WMD components to Khartoum.

The sources said the Bashir regime has been alarmed over the prospect that the United States would discover the Syrian arsenal and conclude that Damascus and Khartoum were cooperating in the area of missiles and WMD. They said this would have delayed or dashed U.S. plans to lift sanctions from Sudan.

A U.S. official confirmed the Syrian missile shipments to Sudan, saying they were meant for use against rebels in the south. But the official said the U.S. intelligence community has not determined that Syria sent WMD systems to Khartoum.

At a minimum, it's "decision time" for Syria... are you with us or are you with the terrorits?

I hope this become a more public story, but I doubt that it will.

This is promising. If it holds maybe they will find that the country of origin for these WMDs will be Iraq. If this news holds up.

LOL, it's going to be fun to watch old Asad scramble to try to explain this one.

Loftus predicted this story last week.

but it will be buried, just like that Jordanian VX gas story.

IMO, Syria has already made it's choice. It is a well-known, long-time state sponsor of terrorism.

I am of the opinion that Saddam's missing WMD's are in Syria, and also under their control in the Bekka Valley in Lebanon.

Now where did Syria get the Scuds and the WMD's. Maybe some from Iraq??? We need to get into those warehouses and do a little inspection. Parley

It may be time to pull the troops out of Korea and send them to the Syrian border.

some of its is there, some went to Sudan, some was given to those terrorists on their way to Jordan.

but for whatever reason, neither the media nor the administration will touch any of these stories.

Ohhhhhh yeah.

There is still a whole lot to this business still to be discovered.

We play political patty-cake at our dire peril.

Only Newsmax and Loftus are saying there was VX in the Jordanian attack. There has been no word since that story broke about exactly what the chemical weapon was.

Word has dried up. I don't know how long it takes to determine what was there or if the whole claim of a chemical attack was wrong.

This is what truly scares me to death. Just ONE chemical or biological warhead smuggled into one of our major cities (via the porous Mexican border) would have a catestrophic effect on our Nation. 9-11 killed 3000; could you imagine 300,000; or potentially 3,000,000 ????

Now where did Syria get the Scuds and the WMD's.

Syria's had hundreds of their own SCUDs, and their own chemical weapons, from their own production programs, in huge quantities, for years.

The idea of using SCUDs vs. insurgents who live in small villages in Southern Sudan in the jungle strikes me as about the dumbest thing I've ever heard, and since I've never seen this story from a reliable source, causes me to believe the whole idea of Syrian WMDs in Sudan is bogus.

Maybe some from Iraq??? We need to get into those warehouses and do a little inspection. Parley

At no point in this term or a second Bush term are we gonna invade Syria. Take that one to the bank.

So, if any Iraqi WMDs are in Syria 1) It will never be confirmed 2) It would be very difficult to tell if they were from Iraq or from the long-standing, large Syrian programs even if one had free access to Syria.
