In an interview published Friday in the LOS ANGELES TIMES, Dem presidential hopeful John Kerry claimed he "never ever implied" that he threw his own medals on the Hill in 1971 to appear as an antiwar hero -- but a new shock video shows John Kerry's saying he did!
ABC's GOOD MORNING AMERICA is set to rock the political world Monday morning with an airing of Kerry's 1971 boast, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

To revisit the sage words of the esteemed Albert R. Gore, Jr., mistakes were made . . .

What are the legalities vis-a-vis the convention? If Kerry won delegates in a primary or caucus, are those delegates bound to him?
Of course, this is the party that managed to get the NJ State Supreme Court to make up the laws to get rid of Torricelli, so maybe existing law or precedent doesn't matter...

lol!

It could also mean even the lefties are ABC are fed up with Kerry . What really worries me, though, if Hillary comes in at the last minute (the conventions are pretty late in the summer, aren't they?), the media will give her a "pass" just like in the Senate campaign, ignoring pardons to Puerto Rican terrorists and all the other nasty things she and her husband did together or individually, and there are enough people who still adore the Clintons who will vote for her. I hope a majority of voters would appreciate how our country has moved on since the Clinton years...

From Kerry's website:
RIGHTWING FICTION: John Kerry threw away his medals during a Vietnam war protest.
FACT: John Kerry is proud of the work he did to end the Vietnam war.
OMG, is Kerry getting a big head these days or what!!!! So now John is directly credited with ending the Vietnam War!

Ok, you're a26 year old decorated Vietnam Vey who now runs an anti war group. You leave your honeymoon to meet with the N Vietnamese delegation at the Paris Peace Talks. AND THIS IS AN EVENT THE DETAILS OF WHICH YOU CAN"T REMEMBER??? Obviously he is a despicable liar covering up the love songs he delivered to the commies while our boys were being killed by them.

I'll believe it when I see (hear) of it.
I wonder how Charlie-Shakes-Gibson or Dianne-slumpy-Sawyer are going to spin this........
By the way, anybody here ever notice how Charlie shakes when he is not talking? If I didn't know better, I would think that maybe he is in the beginning stages of Hodgkins disease......

NOW THIS MAKES SENSE!!!! Kerry did throw his Medals over the White House fence, and probably ripped up his original citations . When he got elected during Reagans term, he asked the secratary of the Navy John Lehman to send him a new set as well as sign a new citation. On his web site, both his Bronze and Silver Star citations are signed by Lehman instead of John Chaffee, who was the Sec. of the Navy during Nixon.

"it would be nice if he a relapse that caused his docs to tell him to give it up."
Oh, please, that's really tacky. Why not just say "I wish Cheney and Condi would trade jobs" or something like that without wishing the guy ill?
To: Dog
You could well be right Dog.
I have a hard time believing she'd run against Bush either. She'd send the country nuclear - against her.

From this and the naysayers on DU, it appears that the Dems want Kerry out of the way.LOL - Dean is still available.

It's very unclear and nigh on impossible, so how did he? Did Kerry get/have high level VietNamese access through his French connections/relatives??

This is very good, especially if Good Morning America is really going to go with it. Right, and I'm gonna wait for the glaze to be put on the story too.

Does anyone have a picture of Kerry throwing the medals? I remember seeing it (black and white). It would go along great with this story. I would love to see how Kerry spins this lie.
To: Dog
Kerry still has his own medals.....he showed them to a Boston Globe reporter back in 1996 I think.....when he ran against Weld Yea .. but the document he gave out regarding his Bronze star was signed by John Lehman
My guess is he requested a replacement just in time for him to run for the Senate in the 80's
