BEIJING, April 23 (Xinhuanet) -- An American artist has created a mosaic of US President George W. Bush's image. The collage uses photos of dead American soliders' from the Iraqi war field. More than 700 American soliders have sacrificed their lives since the Bush administration launched the war on Iraq in March last year. Anti-war voices in the United States are growing louder and louder.(Photo Source: sina.com) |

BEIJING, April 23 (Xinhuanet)...Anti-war voices in the United States are growing louder and louder.......Where Mr. Bush is compelled to let them speak, unlike here, where we would crush the people like bugs if they said anything.

Didn't they do this with his father too?
Seems like it's been done before, but the way

it fits.

I wonder who gave him permission to use the photos. Most of the photos in the news are published AP and the DOD and require single use permission before being republished. I guess it's a good thing for him that Corbis didn't have the rights.

Well, I guess a 3000+ photo collage of the WTC and Pentagon are out of talent range for these "artists".

I wish I had the artistic ability to make up a collage of the artist using the faces of murdered Americans from 9/11.

I saw it. It was all over DU and so was this picture of Bush. The childish DUers delighted in it. What fools they are thinking that their anti-war rhetoric and voices will make a difference. Most people in this country approve of the war and no matter how loud they scream and they have been screaming since the beginning it won't make a difference. But let them scream because it just shows their immaturity.

This isn't art. It's an idea. A computer program does this for the 'artist.' I thought WE were the ones who were supposed to have no sense of artistic appreciation, what with our contempt for the the National Endowment of the Arts and all.

How about one of John Kerry made with photos of aborted babies?
How about one of Jamie Gorelick made with photos of 9/11 victims?

Here is the American flag, near Vandenberg AFB (California), made up entirely of flowers. It is 740 feet long and 390 feet wide. Each stripe is 30 feet and each 5-pointed star is 24 feet. The flag covers 6.65 acres. It contains an estimated 400,000 larkspur plants, each with 4-6 flowers, totalling some two million blooms.

Ah, another Photoshop mosiac has achieved international recognition. Not for the technical prowess needed to complete it, mind you, but for the subject matter.
On that account liberals and communists agree as to its greatness.
