Dem Pittsburg MC to Ms Heinz: stay in Philadelphia next time

"STAY IN PITTSBURGH"

Teresa Heinz Kerry, Sen. John Kerry's vivacious wife, was a major asset on the campaign trail during the primary elections but has run into backstage criticism since then -- particularly in Philadelphia last week.

Mrs. Kerry asked Rep. Bob Brady, master of ceremonies at the event, whether she could introduce Gov. Edward Rendell (who in turn would introduce the prospective Democratic presidential nominee). The candidate's wife then launched into a 10-minute speech about her early life in Mozambique and on the iniquities of George W. Bush, but forgot to introduce Rendell.

After the event concluded, Brady told a Kerry aide: "Next time you come to Philadelphia, leave her in Pittsburgh (Mrs. Kerry's hometown when she was married to the late Republican Sen. John Heinz)."

If Kerry keeps this up, it will be a slam dunk GOP landslide in '04.

This is really bad manners and/or early onset of Alzheimer's.

When her primary purpose is to introduce the governor, how can she "forget"?!

As the first African-American "first lady" nominee she is not making a very good impression.

I wonder if she will allow John to plant a long kiss on her at the convention ala Tipper?

What woman doesn't want to be kissed with an arm cranked firmly around her neck like that?

"No escape, baby! Now be good and pucker up!"

Kerry's first wife had a nervous breakdown while married to Kerry.

I can't imagine why Theresa married him, except maybe she thought she was buying herself a role as a First Lady.

Tsk, tsk. Have you forgotten? The first rule of liberals: "It's all about me", or, if under duress: The "Children".

I believe she married him because she liked the clubby atmosphere of being a Senators wife. You have lots of clout other than at the mulch loading zone and you can fly pretty much under the radar. When Senator Heinz died in that plane crash, there were probably a minimum number of unmmaried or willing to become unmarried for her US Senators? It might well have been Kerry or not be Mrs. Senator.

Sure it is nicer to be First Lady, but Mrs. Kerry can buy almost all the perks that go with it. And she does not seem to like the spotlight quite as bright as it is during a presidential campaign not to mention as bright as the light shines on the First Lady.

Looks like sKerry is at the losing end of the line..."Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it"

I've said this before, I think ole Terazor will dump sKerry within 6 months of his landslide loss to the President.
