As an added note: Prosecutors cannot seek the death penalty on this because the death penalty was not in force at the time of the murder. (this according to local radio)

Anyone seen a motive for this murder? What does "ritualistic" mean? Satanic?

Why not "It OUTRAGES the diocese that one of our own has betrayed everything we stand for and everyone we serve?"

Do they save their anger for important things like a parishioner who parks in the bishop's reserved space? Sheeeeeeeesh!

It was described by some investigators as a "ritualistic" killing.

As always, the most interesting aspect of this case receives merely a passing mention from the secular press. Rituals which involve human sacrifice are a signature of devil worship. This should be very interesting.

That this should come to light now when so many other miscreants are being exposed within the Church is a positive sign, in my opinion. It is another indication that the Church is being cleansed and purified.
