[history]
April 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - One day after John Kerry stressed the importance of buying American cars to keep American jobs, records show that his wife owns a pricey imported German Audi.
The green 2001 Audi Quattro is registered to Teresa Heinz Kerry at their townhouse in Boston's posh Beacon Hill, according to the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles. Her registration is good through February 2005.

I heard somewhere last fall one reporter said that Kerry does fly in the private jet his wife owns. Gulfstream 4 I believe.

Everytime I read these articles I think of my liberal, extremely environmentalist sister, who really ISN"T a hypocrite - but last year, she bought a Honda CR-V.
The conversation went as follows:
"So I heard you bought a new car? Great! What kind is it?"
"A Honda CR-V"
"Oh, how nice. Isn't that an SUV?"
Dead silence.
"Not really. Well, maybe just a small one."
LOL

"Next week, he's launching a "jobs tour" that will take him through the industrial heartland, home to many autoworkers." As usual, the real story is buried in the fourth paragraph (always the fourth paragraph). Kerry's handlers have apparently told him he has to defend Michigan by spending time there...that tells you everything you need to know about how badly their campaign is going. Michigan should have been a slam-dunk for Lurch.
As for the rest of the story, it's possible to be too wealthy when running for office...people continually question whether you're really serious or not (Perot, Trump, et al).

Kerry suffers from the same malady that most who marry for money have. Taking into consideration the embarassment and inconsideration connected with the wealth, they really do earn it.

By defending Michigan he slams the auto workers in every other state.

Kerry is full of it. Anyone doubting that George W. is not a good leader should read "An Autumn of War" by Victor Hansen.

I watched the video. Is the narrator sure that is Kerry? He is walking without any security or supporters on an open street. Guess he doesn't have much of either.

JFnK the environmentalist owns and SUV.
JFnK the protectionist owns an Audi.
No contradiction, really.
He can always say:
"I drove the SUV before I drove the Audi."

8 cars at a minimum.
1 45 foot custom Hinkley yacht
1 Harley( until recently an Italian made Ducati )
1 Gulftsream V jet that can carry and burn over 3 tons of fuel
5-6 large estates throughout the country.
That's my kind of environmentalist.

"Oh, how nice. Isn't that an SUV?"
Dead silence.
"Not really. Well, maybe just a small one."Hmmm... so size DOES matter.
Maybe I could get my sister to stop being so anti-gun if I bought her a Glock 26.

hey he's got what five mansions to keep stocked with cars, so its barely over one vehicle per mansion.
If Kerry was smart he would have portrayed Ter Rah Za as a Republican all along (her first husband being a Republican Senator) so he could blame all of these things on her being an environment hating, corporate outsourcing traitor Republican. Although with Kerry he still may.

Not to mention the Italian motorcycle that he owned for years and then just happened to trade in for a Harley right before entering the presidential race.

Ever since the Democrat Party was taken over by rats a generation ago their actions matter not, it's the intent of their feeeeeeeeeeeeelings that's reality. Liberalism is an emotional illness.
In the 1960s young southern California rats attended the burial of the most evil of all contraptions, the private auto; don't remember the count from the news article but hundreds showed up in the remote area to attend the funeral -- each mourner in his own private auto. It took hours to untangle the mess and get them on their way back to the city to celebrate their contribution to the cause of a clean environment. They've been the same ever since.
