But I'm glad this article was posted. This really isn't unheard of, this beauty-parlor stroke problem, and the article could save somebody's life.
It's bending the head back that's the problem. All the beauty-parlor sinks I've ever known of have been rigid ceramic with a sort of a depression where the neck goes, then the head bends back over the open sink with nothing supporting it but the neck. If the neck bends back too far, and the carotid(s) close off, big trouble.

Having your neck "manipulated" by chiropracters can cause th same problem if you're at high risk.
