OK, I'll bite:
You are either confirming or refuting my post, I'll assume it is the latter.
Here's the text of the link you provided:

From Monday, April 19, 2004 issue.

Suspected Terrorists Reportedly Planned Attacks in Jordan

Suspected terrorists arrested during the last few weeks planned attacks with a chemical bomb and poison gas in Jordan that could have killed thousands, Associated Press reported today (see GSN, April 16).

Targets for the simultaneous attacks included the U.S. Embassy in Amman, other foreign diplomatic missions, the Jordanian prime minister’s office, a Jordanian intelligence facility and civilian targets, according to officials.

The chemical bomb attack on the intelligence service could have killed up to 20,000 people, the officials said.

The plot was foiled by arrests in March and earlier this month of conspirators in a cell linked to al-Qaeda, they said. The arrests were made after suspects entered Jordan from Syria in at least three vehicles carrying explosives, detonators and other bomb-making materials, AP reported.

Jordanian King Abdullah II published a letter last week praising the authorities who led the effort.

Failure to uncover the plot would have resulted in “a crime that would have been unprecedented in the country in terms of the size of explosives mounted on the vehicles and the methods of carrying out the attacks or the civilian locations chosen,” the letter said.

There is no mention of VX, specifically, and no mention of any gas found or seized. Only of "plans" to use poison gas.

Reality is wars in this country are now won or lost on public opinion alone and guess who shapes public opinion ? The liberal media. Bush is barely hanging on, another front will kill any chance he has to win.

yes, but that is never going to improve. the 43% of americans who make up the Dem base would believe Bush was a vampire if Dan Rather told them so. You have to write them off.

See my post #101...

Do the research, Google, Yahoo, Dogpile, your call..
Find a reliable source other than Loftus, that has verified the "finding or seizing of VX, or poison gas".

You can't..

If it were verified as true, it would be all over the news, Bush, Rumsfeld, Rice, FoxNews, would be trumpeting it from the rooftops, "WMD found, was hidden in Syria, Damascus Bombed"..

It ain't happenin'..

first off, see post #22 here to understand the binary nature of this weapon. You don't find a "gas" or even a deadly chemical in a mason jar, you find the MATERIAL used to make it:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1121369/posts?page=22#22

Its not all over the news, and I don't know why. But remember how the media works, a thwarted attack really isn't a story for them. its not sexy.

Between "Bush is barely hanging on..." and "We can't handle Iraq right now..." you've pretty squarely painted yourself as a poster-boy for the "Deeply Saddened Daschleian Denial Syndrome" Award.

Let me guess... next you'll tell me how bad our economy is still doing... am I right?

Bush wins in a landslide with a 50-year-plus record voter turnout. It's in the bank.

you still won't tell me - where are the major combat elements of the 130,000 troops the US has in iraq now? 3000 marines in fallujah, 3000 around najaf.

I was a chemical operations specialist (53E) in the army..

I understand the "binary nature" of the weapon.

You are trying to rationalize something that is not there.
I say again, there is no verifiable source stating that ANY poison gas was ever found, or seized. NONE..

All I know is if I was Kerrys campaign manager I could go hog wild on Bush if he opened up another front and Iraq goes further negative than it already is.

Tell that to Israel! US dollars are an irresistable charm, no matter how much they say they "hate" us.

so the whole report was a lie, or embeliished then? there was a truck with a few sticks of dynamite in it, and it became "a WMD attack that could kill 20,000"? And Adbullah himself was part of it?

how about this theory - we know what was found, but since we aren't prepared to do anything about it right now (i.e, attack Syria), we can't say too much about it. As you say, if this story were confirmed to be true and was all over the media, people would be asking "when are we invading Syria". So to avoid that, the story has been buried.

The Baltimore Sun?

http://www.baltimoresun.com/cgi-bin/ultbb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=18;t=041489

Jordan's King Abdullah revealed on Saturday that vehicles reportedly containing chemical weapons and poison gas that were part of a deadly al Qaeda bomb plot came from Syria, the country named by U.S. weapons inspector David Kay last year as a likely repository for Iraq's weapons of mass destruction.

If we fail in Iraq it's all over, public opinion would go so far against Bush it wouldn't be funny, Iraq is the main battle right now, Syria is fly on a piece of dung and no real threat at the moment. The best thing we cold do is fortify the Syrian border and keep them out of Iraq.

Back to the point; What are your qualificationsthat allow you to make this statement (education, jobs held, military experience ) and list your most recent experience in managing a theater of operations.

I'm in the construction business, I have my own company for the last 12 years. You don't take on jobs when there are no workers to finish them.If you want to stay in business you take care of what you already started.
