"The commission is a reunion of political has-beens who haven't had face time since 'Seinfeld' was a weekly show," he [Kingston] said.

Ouch! A republican with balls--quick, call Ripley's Believe It or Not!

This report won't be worth the paper it's printed on. And everyone knows it. But keep digging, Dems. Keep digging.

Wonder why it is Paul C. Light wants to be known ever after as a member of the AlQaida Ground Support Team?

That commission is a joke.

Half of them have a vested interest in pointing fingers at someone else.

Rin and Stimpy would at least be disinterested parties.

Look, just because a democratic operative on the 9/11 commission ended up investigating herself, that's no reason to condemn the whole program. In fact, here's a picture of the 9/11 commission in their deliberations:

I once asked Mr. Hoyer why he didnt vote for the Flag Amendment, and he stated to me that he had checked with John Kerry, and Kerry stated we didnt need a flag Amendment. Why would anyone check with Hanoi John Kerry about a flag Amendment.?

"Obviously, she's got a vested interest in this to make sure this commission clearly comes out and blames somebody in some organization other [than] — and some policies other than — the ones she was integral in formulating, those employed by Bill and Hillary Clinton" he said.

I don't know why you all get so upset over this commission. With a traitors like Jamie Gorelick as a member, Richard "Mafia Rich, the Democrat vermin" Ben Veniste, two weaklings as chairman and co-chairman and the key witness, Richard (fifteen minutes of fame and greed) Clark, this 911 Commission is dead on arrival. The overwhelming majority of Americans view this farce as a total failure and waste of taxpayer money!

"Commissioners should not be investigating or judging themselves. Nor, should they be looking back and judging any decisions that were made during their time in government by the agency where they worked. I plan to adhere to that policy," she said.

Another dose of pretzel logic. This is the whole point. She makes this sound as if she's doing us a favor. "Don't worry. You can count on me not to investigate myself."

What she really wants is for nobody else to investigate her either.

The issue is not that she should resign from the panel but rather that she has knowledge that would make her a vital witness in finding what went wrong with the "firewall." She should testify under oath, if they want to find out what went wrong.

Whether she should resign is something the panel can explain after her testimony.

"Nor, should they be looking back and judging any decisions that were made during their time in government by the agency where they worked."

Isn't this the reason the commission was formed?

"The commission is a reunion of political has-beens who haven't had face time since 'Seinfeld' was a weekly show," he said. "In their scramble to make the evening news, they've turned this grave matter into a get-even-for-Monica investigation — a switch the American people see right through."

This American sees it, but most of the left have blinders on.

Why not have Condi Rice on the commission? As long as she recused herself from concerns about what happened in the last 7 months before 9-11, and kept her focus on the preceding 8 years.

Benvenisti wouldn't have a problem with this, would he?

They liked the job she did on that wall memo so well that they let her have a crack at the committee's report. This is beyond joke status.

I'll renew my comment about Thompson's last questioning of Condi (here):

THOMPSON: Last simple question. If we come forward with sweeping recommendations for change in how our law enforcement and intelligence agencies operate to meet the new challenges of our time, not the 20th century or the 19th century challenges we faced in the past, and if the president of the United States agrees with them, can you assure us that he will fight with all the vigor he has to get them enacted?

RICE: I can assure you that if the president agrees with the recommendations, and I think we'll want to take a hard look at the recommendations, we're going to fight.

(emphasis added) source

Once this piece-of-crap biased report comes out, the RATs will put on a full-court press to force Bush to adopt the recommendations of Gorelick et al. Condi gave the right answer that Bush will consider the recommendations, but you can bet that when the weird parts are skipped over, the RATs will howl.

"The wall as it existed after she left, the wall as it existed in the beginning of the Bush administration, she's perfectly free to ask questions about," Mr. Felzenberg said.

As dumb as it gets.

"Commissioners should not be investigating or judging themselves. Nor, should they be looking back and judging any decisions that were made during their time in government by the agency where they worked. I plan to adhere to that policy," she said.

Who cares!? She would ONLY have lobbed Chris Matthews's style SOFTBALLS at any of her co-workers, because making THEM look bad, makes HERSELF look bad.

But as a member of the administration that is DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSED to the current White House, she has NO BUSINESS grilling, judging, sifting evidence in order to SPIN THIS for the upcoming election in favor of democrats! Our 3000+ dead deserve better.

She SIMPLY MUST RESIGN

(and then testify in public, under oath)
