I feel like I've been misled to believe Kerry was actually wounded in war. As a mother I think I manage to do more harm to myself in any given day.
Three purple hearts and not one 'real' wound. This BS taints the meaning of the purple heart.

Kerry campaign aides made a mistake in claiming Kerry as skipper of the 94 at that time."Oh gosh. Our mistake. He got all those medals from another fight in the same boat on that day.....er......he was....uh......(crap. How do we get out of this one?)"

Contract with America's Middle Class?
This elistist pompous duffus has never intermingled with servants.
Let's be especially helpful to Jean Qaerry and rename his campaign early:
Here's my suggestion:
CONTACT with the Middle Class

This doc has treated Kerry for 18 years, and hasn't seen the wound?
My doc has treated me for 2 years and has seen every square inch of my body, and most of the inside, too.
This just doesn't add up.

This doc has treated Kerry for 18 years, and hasn't seen the wound? He hasn't seen any!!! They must be so tiny even the doctor didn't notice them!!!
Kerry's doctor, Gerald Doyle, said he could not characterize the severity of the wounds since he didn't see them, but he noted that Kerry was in danger of serious injury several times.

John Kerry doesn't have a piece of shrapnel in his left thigh, his family does.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......
Wonder if he has any "one time at band camp" injuries to capitalize on?!

Doctors decided to leave the shrapnel in place rather than make a wider opening to remove it. And I have a piece of cinder in my knee from running on an outdoor track when I was in junior high school.
And the doctors have never seen a good reason for taking the pin-head sized piece from my knee either.

"The campaign said that when the Navy sent Kerry his military file, it did not include his medical records, and those shown to reporters Friday were copies that Kerry had in his personal files."
Uh. Okay. So Kerry has copies of his medical records, but the Navy didn't send them to him.
Well. Where did they come from?
And then there's this...
"The Kerry campaign allowed 19 reporters who travel with the campaign to view the medical file and talk to Kerry's doctor for 30 minutes Friday afternoon. Reporters had to sign the file in and out and were not allowed to take a copy."
A single file? The word is ambiguous. Does that mean a single piece of paper? Does it mean hundreds of pages in a folio? No one knows.
No one also knows how many people looked at it. The article says 19 people were "allowed to." It doesn't say how many did look at it. It says that each were given 30 minutes with the doctor. It doesn't say how long they were allowed to look at the "file."

Have one of those in my finger.....still there after 55 yrs. Do you think I can put in for a purple heart?

It sure puts this alleged little piece of metal in perspective when you have Pat Tillman killed today.
Another Ranger you could ask about combat in VietNam is Colin Powell.

Actually no, it only says all 19 were allowed thirty minutes with him.
"The Kerry campaign allowed 19 reporters who travel with the campaign to view the medical file and talk to Kerry's doctor for 30 minutes Friday afternoon.
Otherwise you see, that would have meant 9 and a half hours of interviews, I don't think they'd really want that, or
could afford for that to happen!
