That stands for "Continental United States" for people such as you who have never seved a day in the U.S. military, Destro - and Dick Cheney And my grandmother.
You are in the same company with Dick Cheney and my grandmother, Destro.
What's your point?
To: piasa
Oh, I thought that was a "track mark" from the Botox.

The only person here who is talking about people who didn't serve is you.
The rest of us are talking about a pack of lies, which don't seem to bother you at all.

In a few years, people around here will probably be mocking the wounds and service of soldiers serving in the present war, when those soldiers have politcal views which difer from those of the peanut gallery. ..... by The Green Goblin "The Green Goblin"?
Okaaaaay.
Whatever comic book that came out of.
In order mock a "wound", Destro, it first needs to qualify as a "wound".
The "Three Purple Heart" guideline was not meant to apply to every cut in the skin that required a Band-Aid and Bacitracin ointment.
If that were so, every Marine at Khe Sanh would have gotten a one way ticket back to CONUS after the first three days of the siege of Khe Sanh.

I have lots of problems with the Bush administration - runaway spending, campaign finance reform, immigration amnesty, etc.

So what fruits will this argument gain "our" side? Should we put Bush's service and Kerry's service on a scale?? Who did more??
Or do think attacking Kerry's war record will make Bush's lack of one less damaging an election issue?

Sometimes they leave it there. At least they did in WWII. My dad had shrapnel in his legs you could feel just by applying a little pressure with your finger, and he also had a bit of it too near his spine to be operable. All together he had fourteen shrapnel wounds, and craters all over his skin from the stuff. I don't know whether he was ever bruised as badly as Kerry, though. ; )
To: Destro
The Republican election campaign is of no concern to you.

Should we put Bush's service and Kerry's service on a scale?? It is not the service that's being measured, IMHO. It's the honesty of Bush's disclosure vs. the total DIS-honesty, fraud, and cover-ups so glaringly obvious in the Kerry offering. The man zealously sought an 'early out' so that he could commence his true calling: giving aid and comfort to America's enemies. It's a part of the character issue...and Kerry has none to offer...

and I am saying such an attack makes our side look petty and bad. This is not a winning issue for us.

Sounds like a crack Kerry would
make toward Cheney or Rove...oh,
wait he already did that. Good
company, yeah, even Carville &
McAuliffe would applaud that.
Got any Haliburton or Energy Task
Force Cheney gags?
The point? Kerry, Dems & Media
made this an issue, to destroy
Bush based on it. They are a rat
pack of liars.
We ain't gonna let any lyin' pass.
There's too much at stake, even if
you don't see it.
