Not true. Robert F. Kennedy was on a roll, and he would have swept the nomination. The reason Hubert Humphrey turned off so many Democrats in 1968 is because he gained the nomination via the smoke-filled back rooms, and never ran in a single primary. Eugene McCarthy and Robert Kennedy did all the work, then Humphrey rides in like a hero. The anti-war crowd sat on their hands and did nothing to help him, and he lost.

What would make anyone think Hewett would vote for Bush all the Communist stick together.

If it is discovered that Michael Jackson molested 1000 little boys, Jackson would still be a better human than Don Hewitt (and it wouldn't be close).

Although Hewitt, 81, is widely recognized as one of the giants of television news, he pretty much sounded like just another skeptical, undecided American voter during our conversation.

Guffaw. Andy Rooney is probably undecided too. Hey, 60 Muppets and author of this article, Newsflash.....we're not stupid out here!

Hewitt laments the outbreaks of terrorist attacks that have occurred since the U.S. invaded Iraq 13 months ago. "If I should hold anything against George Bush," Hewitt said, it was that the invasion "created more terrorists."

Of all of the leftist spew I hear, this is the one that I am most sick of hearing. Hear this, buttmunch, and hear it well:

-- WE did not start this war, but we WILL finish it.

-- If "more terrorists are created" by virtue of America fighting them, then so be it. We will kill them too, with extreme prejudice.

The leftists seem to hold onto this idea that there is some vast pool of otherwise ordinary Arabs teetering on the edge of some imagined decision about whether to join Al Queda or not, and all of this rests on the shoulders of the U.S... that all they need is a little emotional "nudge" and POW... off they go to learn how to become good little islamonazis.

Bravo Sierra. I would say that if somebody out there is contemplating complicity with Al Queda, then better to push them over the edge and take them out with the rest of the trash.

Don't be so cynical. I am sure they are still open minded and havent made their minds up yet. If only Nader had stayed out they'd have had an easy choice with Kerry but now....
