I'm no fan of the clown's store, but; there are a lot worse menus than having to eat at McDonalds.

I heard about Sam Adams and was optimistic there would be a good domestic beer in the U.S. when I returned, but I was highly disappointed.

LOL! True -- there's always English food to use as a bad example.

So much for your "nice, fat juicy real burger." But you do get the fat.

Hardee's might have a chance to bid on a U.S. event. I freaked when I moved back here -- 2/3lb thickburger WOW!

With the exception of fish 'n chips (yum), the English don't really have their own food anymore. It's all Indian curry now.

In the Czech Republic American Budweiser has to be called Bud. I have had the Czech Budweiser it is very good. Also Czech Budweiser has been around about 2 centuries longer than American Budweiser.

This dumbass doesn't realize that without the worldwide sponsorship by companies like McDonalds and Hyundai, there would be no World Cup.

Yes there would.

As for me, I'm still trying to get past the fact that they could say "Budweiser" and "Beer" in the same sentence with a straight face....

Those clydesdales of theirs serve a dual purpose -- they pull kegs of Budweiser beer, and they fill them, too....

Envious?

Not for a Sam Adams. For beer available here, I might go for a bottle of Corona or the Guiness Draught cans with the fizzy widget.

You need to start looking at smaller, more local brews. (In Colorado, for example, there are several excellent small breweries....)

Hah! That's basically how I've heard it described to me by fellow beer lovers. Sure, what extremely little taste it has is horrid, but it's a nice, clean horrid taste. The Czech Budweiser has much, much more character. I'm not a big lager fan, but even to an ale drinker like me there's no comparison whatsoever between the two "Buds".

I haven't seen any around here. It's interesting that America is moving to the traditional German model, where practically every town had its own brewery. Unfortunately in Germany economics is forcing many of those smaller ones out of business.

It is local in TX. It is old style Chezk (SP?) beer. Thick and hearty.

LOL! That's funny.

I'm not really a beer fan anymore, and fear German beer would be just awful. There's only one way to find out, though.
