Seems like Freepers in the past have both supported and warned against Diebold. Doesn't sound like CA is ready for this yet.

Experts in Palm Beach have already testified to the glitchprone machines.
There is no way to backtrack phone lines to see if someone hacked the transmission of data.
Six months seems more than enough time to make a hard copy of all data in SOME form.

Seems like Freepers in the past have both supported and warned against Diebold. Doesn't sound like CA is ready for this yet. One of the reports today said thousands were turned away from the polls..more than enough to sway an election one way or the other these days.
Most of my adult life has been spent around high-tech equipment, both computer and otherwise, and I still don't trust a lot of it. Some have too much faith in the machines.
