This is a great photo.
Notice the patch just below the American flag on the soldier's shoulder...

It says "DOING THE WORK OF..."
The flags are those of Russia, Germany and France.
Bet we won't see this photo in the major news outlets any time soon.

Not visible to me, unfortunately. Copying and pasting the link didn't work either.

It isn't real though. It was photoshopped by Free Republic's own Registered.

God bless our troops and the 'willing' who serve beside them.
They carry the weight of the world on their shoulders.

Every generation of Troops have had their FIGMO ribbons. That is the best I've seen.

Ok, I'll bite. What's a FIGMO?
To: FreedomPoster
Uh oh -- I hope Registered isn't going to get a scolding again from the New York Times for having a little fun.
(Just kidding -- who cares what the wusses at the New York Times think!)

I saw "Registered.com" in the corner and got a good chuckle. The funny part is that I received this same photo from a friend in Richardson, Texas about 4 hours ago as part of a "Rah-Rah" type e-mail to people on his mailing list. I hated to spoil his party so I just left it at that.

FIGMO used to mean F 'em I Got My Orders. Towards the end of an Isolated or remote tour of duty, along about the time their orders came in for rotation back to the world (USA) everyone threw a party for the soon to departee. Segram 7, Bourbon Suprems and Crown Royal whiskies were usually on hand. Those brands did and maybe still do, were adorned with a distinctive ribbon around the neck of the bottle. The short timer as those due to rotate home were called, were awarded those ribbons and tied them from the button hole in their fatigue shirt's pocket. How long they wore it depended upon just how broad minded and understanding the CO happened to be.
It's not exactly the same as the flags on that trooper's sleeve, but it reminded me of how many inventive ways our troops can come up with to express their opinions.
God bless the all.
