Freepers Mentioned in Book: Hillary's Secret War
Hillary's Secret War: The Clinton Conspiracy to Muzzle Internet Journalists | April 21, 2004 | Vanity

Posted on 04/21/2004 3:46:27 PM PDT by Peach

Today I received the book "Hillary's Secret War: The Clinton Conspiracy to Muzzle Internet Journalists".

From the cover:

From her war room in the White House, Hillary Clinton commanded a secret police operation dedicated to silencing dissent, muzzling media critics, intimidating political foes, whitewashing Clinton scandals, and obstructing justice, all aided by a network of Clinton moles planted at every level of the news media, federal court system, intelligence agencies, and federal law enforcement.

Mainstream news media spiked the story of Hillary's secret war - and the scandals she sought to conceal. But the courageous new journalists of the Internet underground defied the odds and exposed the shocking truth about history's most corrupt presidency.

Written with all the drama and tension of a gripping novel, this carefully researched book gives the inside story of how these modern-day patriots endured Hillary's attacks and emerged from the battlefield to become a sprawling, innovative news source reaching tens of millions each day. Hillary's Secret War presents a tale of dogged courage and sacrifice, one of the greatest untold stories in the annals of journalism.

Sure thing.

So far the first chapter is laying the groundwork for how important the internet is in terms of getting the news first and getting it accurately without the liberal filter.

As evidence of the above, the example is drawn of how Hillary took to the stage on 10/20/01 at that NYC concert and was roundly booed off the stage. When the concert was remastered into a DVD, however, Old Media Viacom digitally removed the booing.

By timeline and specific comments, Freepers are mentioned in a thread about this matter. Then word got around to other internet media, although the author freely acknowledges that Freepers got the story first.

People sent e-mails and referred them to Free Republic to read the thread. Drudge picked it up. Etc. Old Media ignored a huge story.

Will do, mystery.

Everytime I see freeper names, I intend to start a new thread if it's a new day or add to this one.

Well, I don't care if we weren't mentioned. I still am proud of standing in the rain on the steps of the state capitol and holding a Sore Loserman sign. It was the first time in my whole life that I demonstrated for anything, except for the lunch room strike when I was in high school.

You know I can tell if a post is yours at the very point I see the word "rack it".

Rack it = SevenofNine

It's just that simple?

Where does that phrase come from, what part of the country.

A space filling bump to the top.

Sorry Dog.

Even the side of her partially covered face is enough to make a normal, thinking person have an involuntary vomit reflex.
