Since you know how to do that good piece of work, can you tell me how to get rid of my lists in Google. I have been searching for a Birthday gift for my daughter... itis a surprise, and all my google searches are saved...

if you are using a google toolbar you can go to options and and unclick dropdown search history. Let me know if you aren't using the Google toolbar

last week I read an article that hackers are now targeting Macs because there are enough out there now to actually have some fun with. Looks like those Mac-heads are going to enter the fun world of the virus wars.

I'm pretty picky where I put my mouse. My oldest son is an Apple tech guru and he hasn't told me to be worried yet, so I'll relax for now.

All indicators are that Apple's market share has declined to about 2%, not increased.

I had a problem that nobody I mean nobody had any idea how to fix. Certain pages on the web would not download or would not download completely. I had to click refresh many times before the page would download.

Finally, I removed Norton anti virus and immediately noticed the problem went away. I installed EZ Anti virus and firewall and everything works fine except now MS Outlook Express doesn't work...

You might now want to go back into Restore to create a new restore point.

decimon, thanks for the tip:

All, another thing; the virus was a trojan horse...i gather it records my keystrokes? is this true? i'm a little worried because its been on my computer for at least 7 days, and i recently made an on line order for some goods using a credit card.

Should I be worried?

thanks,

Call your credit card company and cancel your card. (They will tell you what to do after you explain to them.) They will issue you a new card. :)

Also, if you plan on purchasing from the place that you ordered from again, I would change my password there. Better to be safe than sorry.

The three sure signs of geekdom...

1. The ability to recite Monty Python skits verbatim.

2. Trekkie.

3. Ownership of an Apple computer.

Enough said.

I'm no expert but a trojan horse might be a keylogger or it might seek passwords or...whatever. You should be able to go to the website of your antivirus software to get specific info on that virus.

yeah I didn't say Apple's market share was increasing, just that the number of Macs on the market is enough to entice the hackers now. I believe the article about Apple finding a virus for their operating system was posted here on freerepublic if you want to check up on it.
