Hamtramck,Mich.--Over some residents' objections, the City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to allow a mosque to send out a call to prayer to Muslims on a loudspeaker....five times a day.

This angle fascinates me because many of the Christians who are the most anti-Islamic share many of the Islamist critiques about the corruption of modern Western society. And, ironically, the liberals who are most likely to make excuses for Muslim extremism ("why they hate us") rarely mention these issues - they talk about Israel, oil, etc., but never admit that sexual permissiveness, alcohol use, etc., give fuel to the Islamists' rage. But it seems to me that from a traditional Christian point of view, Islam cannot be faught only - or even primarily - with weapons, but by returning to Christian values. It seems that the rise of Islamic rage has coincided very neatly with the decline of Christian values in the West.

My understanding is that it is Albanian "refugees" from the "situation" in Kosovo, coming here and spreading the same filth they spread there. No wonder they're also known as "Elbow-nians". Here's the issue: 5:00am and 10:00pm. Churches across America have had to cease ringing their bells during "quiet times" and yet the call to prayer is going to be heard at 5am and 10pm, when the tolling has been forced to cease.



Mort, this should be rectified by BRAND NEW church sacraments. Church bells should ring the 5 times the islamic call is made (to drown it out) and an additional two times in further Glory to the ONE TRUE GOD!

1) God is most great
2) I testify that there is no god butt allah
3) I testify that mad mo is his prophet
4) Come to prayer ( mandatory )
5) Come to salvation or deliverance
6) God is most great

What you need to understand is that good and evil exist in this world. The bible tells of the comming great battle between good and evil. Now you need to decide which side you intent to be on.
