Clay Claiborne

I knew we had a lot of people who hate America in this country, but I didn't know Saddam had so many supporters in this country.

Dude, when you contribute under a license that says that anyone may use the stuff, you've got no right to complain about the people who take you up on that offer.

How true... Did you see this pathetic quote from the guy:

Claiborne: Very much so. IMHO the best thing the DoD has done in the past few decades has been the GPS satellite system. Everybody won on that one, and it's a great use of our tax dollars. In the first Gulf War, even the Iraqis used American GPS to guide their missiles. Talk about your equal-opportunity technologies.

In other words, he draws no distinction between the aggressors and the liberators, between Saddam's forces and the Americans.

who cares ... what a looser. Like the Los Angeles Unix users group is something of importance. Move on, nothing here. I think the book 'shut up and sing' should be retitled 'shut up and code' and given to this nerd.

I don't think that Linux should be used for killing

Whenever my son comes home and tries to replace our Windows with Linux, our system is killed and we have to start all over with a new Windows reboot after he's gone. Linux may be free, but it's scary to think the military is depending on it.

My son would, however, start a chapter of Geeks for Bush at any time.

Good riddance, moron. The Linux community will be much better off without "leaders" like him.

Linux Rocs. I am pleased that the military uses it. Evidently, it also has the ability to exile infidels.

As somewhat of a technoid myself, I have to agree. :-)

I use to be the president of our region's local computer users group. It's a hooby for many and a job for some. But I can't even begin to fathom ANY situation where ANY officer/board member would resign over a political statement.

The Linux use license is open to all. This loser needs to get over that little fact and accept reality. His resigning his user group leadership position is asinine, especially since it has literally no significance what so ever.

"Whenever my son comes home and tries to replace our Windows with Linux, our system is killed and we have to start all over with a new Windows reboot after he's gone."

Some things take time to master. Your son is looking to the future, and linux is where it is at. I am helping my oldest grandson to learn it thoroughly.

"Linux may be free, but it's scary to think the military is depending on it."

It would be scary to me to think that the military would use windows that has more holes than a collander. Take a little time to learn about open source. The fact that it is open, makes it a thousand times more secure than that which is closed.

Blessings, Bobo

I use to use bic pens, but then I found out that someone I didn't like also uses them, so I quit using them.

Makes sense doesn't it.
