What a bunch of malarkey. It's not the schools, it's the *families* of the kids that send them to school unprepared, language-delayed, exposed to drugs in utero, victims of daycare since six weeks after birth, etc.

Reforming education by liberals is an exercise in glossing over past incompetence. She will call for more money, more union teachers, no standards or floating standards based on ethnicity or socio economic level etc. This will not improve the life of one child. My suggestion is direct subscription of the parents of the children attending the school, pay for education and you darn sure will demand results. The balance of money would be raised by tax credit donations with specific schools with independently verified results getting bonus funds from the lottery.
