Bush's record has been gone over with a fine-toothed comb, even though he never made it a campaign theme.
Kerry has made his VN service, including his various medals, a campaign theme. He mentions it whenever he breathes. He answers ever question with a reference to VN, even when it is totally out of context.
Yet, you think it would be unseemly and unwise to hold Kerry to the same standard as Bush. Now that Bush has been slandered and damaged by dem AWOL accusations, we should just put all of this behind us and play nice.
Where do I misunderstand you?

Is anyone stunned at all? I know I'm certainly not.
JF'nK is still pandering to his base on the extreme left. The smartest thing he could do is to denounce the anti-war movement and appeal to the middle. However, his ego and lack of conviction continue to overwhelm his ability to actually take a stand (on virtually anything).
We should all encourage Kerry to continue to feed his ego.

Did Kerry fake his injuries?He could have gotten up the courage to punch himself, I guess. A bruise can come from anywhere when you want another purple heart I suppose.
