Don't Be Surprised When Iraqi WMD Found
April 20, 2004
I don't know if you heard about this, because it has not been widely reported. Terrorists linked to Al-Qaeda were poised to detonate a chemical bomb in the heart of Amman, Jordan, that would have killed 20,000 people and contaminated a large area. King Abdullah praised Jordan's intelligence service for foiling a crime never before seen in the kingdom of Jordan. The target was a headquarters of the general intelligence department on a hill in Amman.
King Abdullah was to be in America to meet with President Bush, but decided not to come because of this threat. Where this story gets interesting is that King Abdullah of Jordan says that the vehicles carrying these explosives, the chemical bomb, were smuggled over the border from neighboring Syria. Syria is denying this, but these are weapons of mass destruction.
Syria is a transit point for weapons of mass destruction. The whole subject of where are the weapons of mass destruction remains a focal point of mine. It remains an area of heightened curiosity, because I do not believe that they have been destroyed. I do not believe that Iraq never had them. I think Iraq had them. I think Iraq was working on them. I don't think the world's intelligence agencies are as woefully incompetent and bad and inept as the whole weapons of mass destruction issue would lead us to believe.
There are some things missing from buildings in Iraq, and there's too much speculation out there about how some of this stuff can be miniaturized and transported out of the country easily. Syria is an obvious place, and many people I respect have pointed to the Bekaa Valley as a place as well. We're not going to invade Syria any time soon to find out, but this is the second example of weapons of mass destruction-type coming out of Syria.
Now, they had to get to Syria somehow. I just want to keep your mind open to the possibility that these weapons of mass destruction from Iraq are somewhere, and they've not been destroyed. They haven't just vanished into the ether, and I'm going to make a prediction to you that all of the liberals and critics of the president who have harped on this and jumped on this have once again jumped the gun. They are a little premature here because we don't know yet what, if anything, did happen to those weapons of mass destruction, despite knowing that they did exist. So keep your hats on and don't be surprised down the road what is learned at some point.
Yellow cake uranium has been found at junk yards in Rotterdam and that's exactly what Iraq was looking for. This stuff could have been disbursed over the years to any number of places, and if you think that an Al-Qaeda related group is going to blow up Amman, Jordan with weapons that were procured from Syria, if you think that Al-Qaeda is not related to what all was going on in Iraq, and the Middle East, then you are engaged in blindness or wishful thinking. That is the position of the left, and that's why they can't be trusted to be placed in a leadership position.

WMD's? Heck I wouldn't be suprised if they find incriminating pictures of Saddam and OBL.

Not to be cliche, but See, I told you so.
Multiple large convoys were sighted leaving Iraq for Syria during the allied build-up in Kuwait in 2002-early 2003. Contents of buildings logged by Un "inspectors" were missing. Stockpiles of WMDs also logged by the UN were missing. Any scientist helping the allies were executed. The list goes on.
Snippits of evidence have been showing up since Iraq's liberation, but they only allude to the WMD program. Kinda like finding bear tracks, but not finding the bear that made them. We had several thousand documents linking Iraq to WMDs, Bin Laden, and the PLO. Saddam's support for PLO homicide bombers in Isreal, and multiple terrorist training camps in Slamon Pak, with the jet liner hulls for hyjack training, and a northern camp, with a mural of Saddam smoking a cigar while the WTC burned.
Syria also infiltrated hundreds of mercenary fighters into Iraq to assist Saddam (a fellow National Socialist Baathist). These mercs fought the 3rd ID during the "Thunder Runs" in 3rd IDs supporting fight now called "The Battle of the Passes". This is open source information, and was reported on extensivly, and is available on the net and in the news.
That aside, there can clearly be only one place the WMDs could have gone: Syria. It is clear Syria is a transit point for the distribution of these weapons to terrorists as it is a state sponsor of terrorism. Unfortunatly, we may see the "less rational" (relative term, I know) islamofascists use them in Isreal as they tried to do in Jordan, heedless of the fact the wind blows from west to east. Any NBC attack in Isreal would spill into the "occupied territories" and then onto Jordan, Syria, maybe Lebanon with the death toll in the 100s of thousands with millions more sick and dying. The Isrealies would certainly retaliate and there would be a nuclear crossfire. Most of the Arab world would be obliterated in seconds (Iraq MAY be spared, if only because US troops are there) and the contamination would spread into Pakistan, Maylasia, SW Asia and the Philipines.
What would happen then? I don't know, but if we hadn't gone into Iraq, this scenario would have definatly happened and there would also be cities in the USA, Europe, Russia, and maybe even China (which has a jihad problem too) wiped out. How would they have responded then?? What will happen if a terrorist enabler like Kerry is elected? By "enabler" I mean someone who goes back to the failed Clinton "anti-terrorist" policies of the 90s or who pulls US troops out of Iraq and guts the military and the CIA (like Kerry voted on EVRY time).... You get the idea.
My point, long as it is, is that Bush, along with the CIA and EVERY intelligence service in the world INCLUDING the liberals favorites (UN, China, Russia) stated Iraq had a WMD program. The UN saw it and did nothing when it went missing. This charade of a 9-11 Commission demanded to know why Bush didn't act pre-emptivly in Afganistan with less than 5 weeks of notice (the UN doesn't even decide a meeting schedule in 5 weeks!) and a military still reeling from Clinton's misadventures. These same people are outraged that we acted on a known enemy with evidence of the weapons, 12 YEARS of failed international diplomacy, 14 toothless "resolutions", violations of all but one aspect of the GW1 cease fire accords (he never re-invaded Kuwait), and multiple ties to terrorists including financial aid to terrorists that Saddam BRAGGED about!

I don't doubt that these WMDs came from Iraq (probably via our French "allies"). But the DUmmies will say that Bush had Halliburton smuggle them in.

c-mon man... lighten up... everybody knows that we can't do it the easy way, just expressing retaliatory emotions for the butchering of our fellow Americans. It would warm my heart to see all Islamofascists located at ground zero, but is it a reality? Sadly no, so we talk Rambo to smooth the emotion... dig?
To: Maximilian
So Iraq didn't have ANY WMD. And you'll guarantee it.
I wonder where the chemical weapons in Syria came from.
I wonder how Saddam killed those 3,000 Kurds in Hallabja with chemical weapons. If he had chemical weapons once, isn't it likely he had them again?
I wonder how Saddam killed these Iranians with chemical weapons. You should read Saddam's Bombmaker.

From the CNN article:
Jordanian security last week intercepted three trucks, believed to be traveling from the northern border with Syria, that were packed with explosives intended for government buildings, the U.S. Embassy and a number of hotels.
From the Telegraph article:
An official close to the investigation said three vehicles had been found, each filled with explosives, detonators and "primary materials" for making a chemical bomb. Had this device exploded, the official said, an area exceeding half a square mile would have been contaminated.
Notice the difference?

al-queda terrorists with WMD from Syria were attempting to attack American territory (embassy in Jordan) so it seems to me that all criteria are met. Time to smackdown the Syrians a little.

You sir have an extraordinary way to prove the old adage; 'Were you born that stupid, or did you really strive your entire life, to be the vast cauldron of stupidity!' WMD's WERE THERE, they are not now or can't be found. Please try to rub the 2 brain cells you have, to figure out that these weapons could be A: Found B: Moved to another 'I Hate America' Country C: Already in the hands of people who wish to use them on us. Your sage like ability to guarantee me that there is no WMD's, may sooth the soul of someone with 4 brain cells, (i.e. Demonrats, centrists, undecided) but I sir have the horrible affliction called 'higher cog native skills'. Your inability to see past the immediate future, strikes me that you are probably not using one of the two cells in your head. It would be nice to leave those 15th century places and bring our troops home. HOWEVER, they will if unchecked, acquire WMD's and USE THEM. Or give them to someone that will. Please sir, Do us a favor. Be silent while others ensure your right now, and in the future, to be the glittering supernova of absolute shortsightedness.
P.S. Don't go away mad.

Actually I'm ok with leaving California. But I guess the thought of sharing a border with a Communist country is a little concerning.

How about if we get the hell out of Serbia and Afghanistan and Iraq before we bring our enlightened despotism to any more backwaters Yea I'm all for that
NOT
Lets just pull everyone home and lock up the borders our economy our way of life and alienate everyone all our Allys just tell the rest of the world to go to hell and while were withering away because were to stuck up to associate with the rest of the world we can have us a few nice attacks from that peace loving group ha-mas and maybe a few from AL quada too! nothing like pulling the plug on our own world because of the whiney thinking of a few !
Its a great thing to be able to talk about freedom when your free but its another to be hated because your free Democracy or "Nation building " if you want to call it that which is lame because the nation already exists
Democracy is what helps someone to be able to say the things you say ! Take yourself a little trip over to one of those so called countries where there is no Democracy and start spouting off against what the currant government in any given one is doing to demonize and tyrannize there own and see how long you last.
