Arlington, VA - Grassroots support for the Bush-Cheney '04 campaign continues to grow, with more than 833,000 contributors representing every state and county in the country.
"The grassroots support Bush-Cheney '04 has received will help us carry President Bush's positive message to every voter," said Ken Mehlman, Bush-Cheney '04 Campaign Manager.
The fundraising total for the first three months of 2004 exceeds $52.3 million. In March, Bush-Cheney '04 raised $26.1 million from 272,700 contributors and added 199,225 new donors. The average contribution in March was $92. Bush-Cheney 04 filed its March report with the Federal Election Commission today.
Each week Bush-Cheney '04 updates its Web site at www.GeorgeWBush.com/Donors/ with the names of individuals who have contributed to the President's campaign. This disclosure is not required by law for those who have contributed less than $200. The Web site also lists volunteer fundraisers who have reached Maverick, Pioneer and Ranger status.

I'm proud to have been one of the March contributors. Though this is impressive, I think today's article showing just how many millions Kerry and the 527s are raising shows that President Bush can't have too much money.

I'm sure many of those donors are part of the 1.3 million newly registered Republicans previously never registered, the RNC has registered since President Bush began his re-election campaign, with the register drive hoping to register millions more by convention time and election day.

Look at the difference in the two. Kerry and his '527s' get money from Soros, Lewis, Costco, trial lawyers, abortion, communists, foreign tyrants etc. While Bush mostly gets his money from ordinary Americans like us.

The average contribution in March was $92 I bet the Rat's average donation is 5 times that. The Lamestream needs to tell us again which is the party of the "rich".

833,000 contributors representing every state and county in the country. Makes me laugh when I think back to some of the comments here on FR about the Bush campaign being unorganized and/or unfocused.

I have to agree, Coop. I have been hearing how we weren't doing anything, how we wouldn't respond, how we wouldn't attack, yada, yada, for over a year.
Meanwhile, Racicot has been a busy guy. Should Kerry drop out and we have to face Hillary, we will have the advantage of a large, grass-roots organization, while she will have to count on the unions.

I have a feeling the media might help her out a bit, too. :-)
However, her entry into the race would bring broken-glass Pubbies and conservatives out of the woodwork!

I was just speaking about the worker bees and such, not the media.
Of course, Kerry has the media too, but if Hillary entered we would think the current Kerry media support tepid in comparison. I think we would see all-Hillary, all the time. They would make it look like the Second Coming.

I sent my $100.
Got a nice auto letter back....:-)

Should Kerry drop out and we have to face Hillary That would be the BIGGEST fund-raising tool in the Republican party's history. President Bush couldn't make deposits fast enough.

Is that right? There are a new 1.3 million registered republicans?
That's not something the republicans are historically good at doing.

You've got that right. The U.S. economy could potentially grind to a halt as all consumer spending would be directed toward those two candidates. :-)

RNC to Continue Record-Setting Voter Registration Drivewill further the RNC's record setting drive to register 3 million new voters before Election Day in November, of which one million have already been registered.
(As of late March/early April.) Now, can we assume that virtually 100% of these new voters are Republicans? No. Wouldn't be prudent. :-)
