When will the arrests be made in Berkeley?Efficiency dictates that just building a wall, a fence, and barring the windows would be the best route to take for Berkeley! ; )

Well, I don't follow Swedish news as much as I used to, but this just happened yesterday.
The story is up at both Expressen and Aftonbladet. I suspect that this story was just made public. Though it looks like the authorities are not to keen on revealing more info. There are probably ongoing operations.

Not to mention the "Swedes" responsible for the brutal murder and robbery in Stavanger.
I think Mona Sahlin should personally travel to the family of the late police officer and beg for forgiveness.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I meant about the mini-Intifada in Malmö. I haven't seen anything about it in the papers - and since I don't livve in Malmö any longer I don't ahve any first hand experience.

Efficiency?
Oh, I daresay it's rather simple to find something FAR more effective for Berserkly than just a wall. And, well-deserved it would be for this lot, too.

Not to mention the "Swedes" responsible for the brutal murder and robbery in Stavanger. What was the national background of those "Swedes"? I get my Norwegian news from the VG, Dagbladet and Aftenposten online papers, all of which are usually ruthlessly self-censorsed to avoid ever identifying a criminal or his background.

MALMO.
After having been bombarded with bottles from the eight floor and having been stoned and spat at, the Malmo Fire Department finally had enough when a gang of youth attacked them with sledge hammers in October 2003. It was then demanded that Police have to escort all rescue missions in Rosengard (Muslim area of Malmo). The Fire Deparment is not alone. During this fall, stone throwing gangs have also attacked parking attendants, security guards, ambulance personell and police officers. As a consequence.....
The police have also had to reinfoce its missions into Rosengard. A patrol has to guard the police car so it will not get smashed when the others are performing their assignment...
Even the local bus service has been bombarded by stones and has for some time not entered the residential areas...

Sometimes, not often (thank Christ!), you look at a picture of someone and you think "I could shoot him". Something about the juxtiposition of a burning piece of high-tech machinery, and the retarded certainity of this person and his little hand sign just pushes my buttons. "Way to go champ! You can destroy things!"
*His* crapheap of a country is quite probably going to end the year as a balkanized free fire zone, full of terrorists, religious extremists, and horror of every type. Without America, there is NO decent future for anyone he knows. He probably knows that on some level, and has decided that he's OK with that. It's the political and social equivelent of eating the seed corn, and it sickens and enrages me.
It could be that I'm really not as good a person as I could be, but I can very easily picture myself dropping this person. A troubling thought to end one's day with no? Church tommorrow I think.

No, unfortunately not.
However, a strange thing happened last election. The Liberals (who would be called ultra-Liberals by US standards; free abortion, free immigration, EU state, homo weddings, etc, etc) were on the brink of losing their representation in the Parliament (4% limit), when they suddenly changed tack and started to argue for language tests for people applying for Swedish citizenship.
Just to make sure to everyone how devoid of contact with reality most politicians are, all the other parties attacked the Liberals. In a jiffy the party went from barely 4% to almost 15%.
Of course it was a scam, and now they are back to their old bad ways again.
The Conservatives (Moderaterna, typical CINO:s) had pushed this question earlier but kept quiet during the elections which was their big mistake, and they went from 22 to 15.5%.
Actually, the Conservatives have a problem because their party group is split down the middle. Half of their parliamentarians (I use this term very loosely) are libertarians. They want to wreck our social welfare system by allowing a free immigration. To do this they liaise with the politically correct left and liberals.
Now, I would like to dismantle our socialized welfare system too, but it must be done gradually unless you want a social catastrophe. To use immigration as a lever to do this is to create a real Weimar situation. Even if we dont end up in social strife, lots of people (who have been forced to put their money in these systems instead of in personal saving) would be hurt.
So, at the moment it is only part of the Conservative party and some of the more responsible Social Democrats (together with the labour unions who are just as protective as anywhere else) who tries to stem the flood. However, they try to be as PC as possible and thus they loose.
Unfortunately, I think this will mean that we will end up with a far right party in our Parliament after next election. Although, never much commented on the polls are starting to pick up a great disillusionment with the present parties, and of the first time voters probably some 10% are going to vote far right. (This according to an exit poll made during the EMU referendum. More than 10% the people who hadnt voted in the previous election, ie mainly first time voters, were going to vote for another party. Since this group was much more skeptical to the euro than any other group (85% NO), and the far left actually was for the euro, the only alternative is the far right.. This stat has never been commented on , as far as I know.)
So, unless some of the other parties make a U-turn very soon, the political establishment will get a rude wake-up call very soon.
(It is not a development I'd like to see, but the probability is so high I even have put some money on it.)
PS Yes, the food is a positive thing. And that is the other side of the immigration - lots of small business's strating up, which is a very good thing.

Bravo! More Kerry supporters off the street. I tried via search engine to find a connection between Mullah Krekar of Norwegian "fame" and Sweden, but didn't have any initial luck. I'll keep poking around, but look forward to any comments from the peanut gallery.

What? There are terrorists in Iraq? I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked. Our MSM tells us these are insurgents and freedom fighters - there can't be any terrorists in Iraq. There must be something wrong with the translation.
