I read this article carefully for any mention of the cost of state of federally funded programs that this chump was on. No mention - because the press treats this issue as if the cost of this fellow's behavioral choices is paid for with money that grows on trees.

The most important function of the law should be to internalize the cost of actions which would otherwise be externalities - costs foisted on the taxpaying population in general. If this reckless fool's behavior isn't the epitome of that - I don't know what is.

And this is part of the contingent that thinks legalizing drugs and sanctioning homosexual marriage is going to make this all go away. I'd pity the poor bastards if it weren't for the fact that they're ALL fully in control of their actions, and fully aware of the consequences that it brings. It goes beyond an exercise in moral choice; it's a matter of life or death.

Free Meth for all gays.

No free health care as it would interfere with their lifestyle choices.

Problem solved.

People have a right to be stupid with their lives. But where is the law enforcement for illegal drug activity? Also, if this guy started his drug/sex rampages at 16, he must have been in High School with access to other kids. That's where I have a BIG problem. How many kids did this guy influence - explicitly or implicitly? We all know what peer pressure is like for our kids. So, even if this guy finds his way (or dies), he'll never be able to erase his damage. So, accuse me of what you will, but I will shelter my daughter as if her life depends on it - because it truly does. Parents need help because the scumbags are everywhere and it doesn't take much to ruin a child. Expel the troublemakers, jail the criminals and PLEASE, give the good kids a chance.

k.

I've met several people who did meth, in the neighborhood we lived in. As far as I know they were heterosexual. The advanced stages are eyes like pissholes in the snow and rotten teeth. A longtime friend of one of my daughters lifted the rent money out of her wallet, after my girl took her to the store. Needless to say, that was the final end to that friendship.

Several people went in on a house on my street, and it was approximately 500k selling price. I got a good look at the man, as they mistook my son in law having an altercation with psychobitch, as something to do with their daughter. Along with impaired reasoning, he has the dead eyes and the bad teeth. Yippeeee, we've got tweekers for neighbors!

I submit this statement for belaboring the f**king obvious award.

This one might even retire the trophy.

Of course I feel sorry for anyone who has AIDS but when are people going to get the message about high risk behavior?

This article could have been written any day for the last thirty years, with the exception of the HIV part (then it's twenty years). Speed kills. Always has, always will. Anybody who is around drugs enough to score knows this. The ones who ruin their lives either don't care or mistakenly believe they are among the few who can dabble but not indulge. All this excuse-making about the "victim" being a wholesome innocent who didn't know the dangers until it was too late is complete and utter b.s. in 99.99+% of the cases. Speed kills. Don't play the game if you care what happens to you. Period.

I have been reading the Porn Industry news...I was interested to note that LA County taxpayers pay for STD testing for the porn stars. Just lovely.

"I think there's a possibility that I may have infected someone. I couldn't tell you who," John said. "And I have the feeling that the people that I did have unprotected sex with had already had unprotected sex with other people, so there's no way for them to know if it would have been me or someone else."

Homosexual Agenda Ping - You Gotta Check This One Out Alert!

Just see where taxpayer money goes - what with clinics, safe sex education programs, detox programs, and therapy.

There's too much to comment on here.

Take it away!

It is sad, as one poster noted. But when people with SSAD (Same Sex Attraction Disorder) are encouraged to not only continue with their unnatural behavior, but "questioning" youth are ENCOURAGED to "try it", my sympathy for their disease ridden and drug influenced suffering ends, and my outrage at their predation grows.

Let me know if anyone wants on/off this ping list.

Every time I read one of these articles I literally get the chills. Most of the people in this article are so young, and they are absolutely ruining their lives.

Taking meth and sleeping with countless partners in one evening, with or without condoms is sick and dangerous. They must have a death wish. It is also utterly sad and depressing.

There are so many healthier pursuits they could be following, and instead they are ruining themselves.

People like the young men in the article need our prayers, BIGTIME.

It is ridiculous that all male bathhouses are legal (in any age) but particularly with the advent of AIDS. They are helping to promote the spread of the disease and consequently death. I have never understood this.

The legality of these bathhouses only proves the political power of homosexuals.

A methamphetamine user since he was 16, Smith spent years having anonymous, unprotected sex while high.

After medical tests, counselors told him he had contracted HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.

He believes he contracted the disease while having sex with strangers while on meth.

Hmm, Smith spent years having unprotected sex. Now he's been diagnosed with HIV. Smith believes he may have contracted the disease while having all that unprotected sex with strangers over the years. I think Smith's belief is correct.

The drug can be snorted, injected, swallowed and smoked, and some gay men insert it anally.

My oh my. I had no idea that home chemists in Tioga County, New York, were making my area such an agricultural breadbasket.

The preparation of this stuff is a nightmare. The manufacturers have a lot of dangerous chemicals and poisons around and in the product (fire departments are put on standby prior to police raids because meth labs sometimes explode) and dealers will add their own trash to the cut (so there's a larger volume of less pure drug to sell). These gay men have plenty of bad things to worry about, and not just AIDS.
