In all sincerity, what is wrong with that? Wouldn't a perfect Democracy have a leader who makes decisions based on what the people want, as opposed to making decisions influenced by personal matters (which Bush undeniably did)?
This country was never intended to be a "perfect democracy". Have you ever read the Constitution?

For example, since the flip flops on Iraq listed above, Kerry's changed his position several times.
He's gone from accusing Bush of misleading us into the Iraq war, to saying that if he knew then what we know now about WMD's he would STILL support going to war.
I thought he was the "anti-war candidate"?
He also marked the 1,000 dead in Iraq mark by claiming the men died honorably, defending America against TERRORISM.
I thought Kerry denied Iraq was part of the war on terrorism?
