Hurray for Pataki! Great to see him slam the Demonrats back with reality. The Clintoon administration has nothing to show but failure on al Qaeda even though they are attempting to smear the Bush administration for not getting al Qaeda in 7 1/2 months. Clintoon and the Demonrats have been attacking this President for political gain his whole time in office, time that the Republicans shoot back at Demonrat hypocrisy and a party that cut intelligence and said Saddam Hussein was a threat with WMD.

One of the remarks caused Democrats to demand an apology...

My. The party of Michael Moore and Al Frankin certainly seems to be sensitive, don't they?

Yes, surprisingly strong words for Pataki. Nice to be able to praise him for something.

This could be the start of a Bush strategy. Have surrogates say those things, while true, would otherwise be "polticially incorrect". Can you imagine the outrage if someone from the Administration had said that?

Bush, Cheney, Rove, Hughes have pretty finely honed political (and campaign) skills.

They will know not only what to do, but WHEN to do it. (And who to have do it)

It is a long time until November. Bush has a country and a war to run.
