According to Fox news Dru Sjodin has been found. Conflicting reports though. One ap report says she is home, another says she has been found.

I had been thinking about her the past week, checking the Grand Forks paper daily to see if she'd been found. I had heard that they were searching for her today and hoped that they'd find her. Sadly, that came true today.

Prayers for her family and friends. At least they'll be able to give her a decent burial after all this time.

If they let a sex offender out of jail one of the criteria is that they have to have their face and hands tattooed bright red. At least that way people could see them coming.

As a person that has looked for missing kids and who has friends who's child was butchered by one of these devoids I think the only thing we can do with these devoids is shoot them in the back of the head and throw them in a hole.

There are devoids that walk the Earth, the look like you or I do, but they are not human.

I certainly do agree. They are put on supervision in Fl and living in every type neighborhood that exists, poor to wealthy. I'm glad I can do an internet search to find their exact addresses, but that is little consolation. I've been told by probation officers not to let your kids alone to a public bathroom or in any park!! Parents concentrating on a kids' ball game might not pay close attention to how long their child was gone to the restroom til it was too late. If an adult can't fight off an attacker it certainly ought to put some caution into the hearts of parents.
The reporter just said the guy is the worst of the worst as far as sex offenders go....IMO they deserve the electric chair!! No get out of jail free card!! Don't even waste the assets by putting them in jail!

Yes, they should be put to death; they are a cancer on society. It has been proven over and over again that sex offenders and child molesters are never 'cured.'

Crookston, Minn. (AP) The body of Dru Sjodin, the University of North Dakota student who disappeared last November, has been found, authorities said Saturday.

Polk County Sheriff Mark LeTexier sobbed as he told volunteers, "Dru is home." He later confirmed that authorities had found Sjodin's body.

Volunteers had joined the search for the 22-year-old student on Saturday. A crowd group at Crookston High School broke into applause after his announcement.

Sjodin's father, Allan, and her boyfriend were in a trailer at the high school serving as a makeshift command post for authorities organizing the search.

Sjodin, of Pequot Lakes, Minn., disappeared Nov. 22 from a Grand Forks mall. She was last heard from while talking on a cell phone to her boyfriend.

Convicted sex offender Alfonso Rodriguez Jr., 51, of Crookston, has pleaded not guilty to kidnapping her. He was arrested in December and is jailed in Grand Forks on $5 million bail.

My daughter was in Fargo-Moorhead on Wednesday and all snow was long gone. It snowed out lightly a couple days the the snow, like here in Upstate NY has been gone for basically a month.

That's what Greta said on the phone. She said they started the search again because a lot of the snow had melted.

In this part of the upper Midwest, missing are found after the snow melt in the spring--and during the deer hunt in the fall.

Yes, the snow had melted and there is no grass growing yet. They've been scheduling searches over the past week.

It is a sad day.
