Six years before the Sept. 11 attacks, the CIA warned in a classified report that Islamic extremists likely would strike on U.S. soil at landmarks in Washington or New York, or through the airline industry, according to intelligence officials......

The report specifically warned that civil aviation, Washington landmarks such as the White House and Capitol and buildings on Wall Street were at the greatest risk of a domestic terror attack by Muslim extremists, the official said.

Bingo. I read the entire article to see if Clinton was even mentioned. Nada. 'White House Counnter-terrorism Group' is as close as he comes. This approach comports with the Clinton era policy to always lay blame on underlings; a tactic the media was quick to adopt. I believe Reno only kept her job as long as she did because she was willing to be the sacrificial lamb for Clinton debacles, and her willingness to protect him from the DOJ.

The Clinton administration reacted to intelligence like this with, for example, requiring that airlines single out no more than two arabs per flight for search. Think about it---you get intelligence that terrorists will use airliners to attack NYC targets and you react by making it more difficult for airport security to protect planes.

IOW, the intelligence that the Clinton administration had was not met with corrective action, was not met with inaction. INSTEAD it was met with actions to FACILITATE terrorist.

This article is fish-wrap. Anyone with an IQ above that of a Gambian Tree Frog, KNEW that eventually OBL/UBL would eventually attack us here on our soil.

Binny's attacks constantly escalated in 'boldness' from the embassy bombings to the attack on our warship, Cole. Now gee, what'ya think would or could be next? A dam tea party in Keokuk! But without actionable intelligence what was Bush to do? Arrest and/or roundup all 'suspicious' muslims? Oh yeah, the ACLU and the demoncRATS would've loved that.

Anyway, if this Gore-LICK skank doesn't resign from the 9-11 commission, it'll have all the legitimacy of the infamous Warren Commission. In english, that's ZERO. And IMHO, it's already at that point. They found the pristine 'magic bullet' that defied all laws of physics and this commission found Dick Clarke & the Aug 6th PDB.
