I always have wondered what terrorists here and abroad think of our political infighting, of our unending quests for apologies, for things we didn't create but they perpetrated.

I'm sure they're quite thrilled, whether they watch from Paris or Riyadh or Fajalluh or Najaf or Detroit or anywhere in between.

Actually, I have no understanding for this 9/11 panel - and I was wondering that it is such a big thing in the US media. I mean, this guy is correct in saying that the hijackers of the four planes on September 11 2001 should be blamed for the murder of 3,000 people - instead the US administrations (no matter wether Clinton or Bush)!

I'd like to pre-emptively apologize to Sir David Gregory, NBC News, for the loogie that I am gonna hock into his hair without him knowing if I ever run into him in DC.

Clarke was merely imitating his mentor, WJC. Clinton was Mr. Apology, which was just another way of saying "I feel your pain."

Of course, all the Democrats are doing are pursuing ad material, and the press are willing allies.

From an email I got from the Democratic Party (you do subscribe to their mailing list, don't you?):

New DNC Video: Mistakes Were Made
Dear XXXXXXXXX,

On Tuesday night, coming during one of the worst weeks of Bush's presidency, a reporter asked Bush what mistakes he had made and what lessons he had learned during his term in office. America watched as our president stammered and made jokes to avoid answering the question.

President Bush couldn't think of a single mistake. Well, we can.

Click here to watch our new DNC video: Mistakes Were Made.

Well, there you go. What the press questions were really all about.

The entire world of Islam that contributes money for murder, and preaches vile hatred and murder in Arabic while giving lip service in English, is ultimately responsible.

It's amazing that in a country of nearly 300 million people that the best the Democratic party can come up with is John Kerry propped up by a slathering press.

We're just not going to make it.

I'm sorry that we've morphed into a society that idolizes emasculated, sissified, touchy-feely men to the point that we cannot do difficult, gut-turning tasks on short order.

I'm sorry that our society becomes so overwrought that we must run to our therapists (it's actually chic to have one), get the opinion and approval of EVERYONE, drink our herbal teas, cry, blubber, and tremble without doing what needs to be done about a bloodthirsty and murderous sect.

Lastly, I'm sorry about the run-on sentences...but I was on a roll. Sorry.

Only in America can Osama bin Laden launch an attack, and we launch a national guilt complex. We don't ask him to say he's sorry. We prefer all of us just looking sorry.

Neil's wrong here. This is a Western disease, not an American one.

Case in point: Spain.

Maybe Gorelick should appologize for her law firm representing the Saudis against the 911 families...

Maybe Dan Rather should appologize to the families of the victims of the violence in Fallujah for saying they had to work in Iraq because of the lack of jobs in the US.

Maybe Tom Daschle should appologize to America for putting the blatently partisan Gorelick on the 911 Commission. At least he should be saddened.

Maybe the voters of New York should appologize to America for putting out-of-state residents in the Senate. I can't believe there aren't enough qualified real residents in a State that large.

Maybe the liberals on the 911 Commission should appologize for their obvious attempt to hang the Clinton legacy on President Bush.

Maybe the lamestream media should appologize to America for being, ..., biased.

Maybe Air-Head America should appologize to the stations for their bad checks.

Maybe the RINOs in the Senate of the United States should appologize to America for their votes on impeachment of WJC.

Maybe the terrorists should appologize to all the innocent families who are missing loved ones.

Maybe the Democrats should appologize to the world for creating the environment that allows terrorists to run free.

To the liberals it's all about feeling good about yourself, and to those of us that have to suffer their BS feelgood crap, it's all about wanting to be have a world with freedom and opportunity. I would rather act now for good than to appologize for bad. Appologies are not going to rid the world of terrorism.

The left has no moral foundation, they are not grounded in anything solid when it comes to judging and knowing right from wrong. To them there are no absolutes and there is no right and wrong - so when something goes wrong they don't know where to point the finger and who to blame so they just have their stupid orgy of "well, I guess we're all guilty here or something, so lets just all take a part in the guilt, kiss and make up." The wimpified parents of this day don't even have the kahoonas to discipline their own children who are spoiled raging little bratty punks, how can we expect them to show any anger or disdain for the wrongs done outside their home. Their own flesh and blood doesn't even get disciplined by them, they are to darn lazy to do it. It just so much work and all to tell little Johny not to kick the dog - how these girly men gonna find the guts to punch out Osama or Sudam's lights.

Please. Bush was not about to grovel before the press and give Kerry ammo for his anti-Bush ads. Bush isn't stupid PLUS he has nothing to apologize for anyway.

When I hear people demand an apology I think of the John Wayne movie where he tells the young 2nd Lt "Don't apologize, it's a sign of weakness"

Always though John Wayne movies was excellent examples of having proper morals and values in life.

These folks get a great deal of coverage -- deservedly so for all their suffering.

Cavuto is being too nice here. The reason these people are now getting coverage is for their attempt to turn personal tragedy into partisan political gain.

No one begrudges them their need to grieve. We share that grief. But the line must be drawn somewhere and this seems to be the place.

As a lawyer once told me: An apology is construed in court as taking full responsibility for an event, opening your wallet to those "harmed", and saying "Take it all, from now until my death."
