Only in America can Osama bin Laden launch an attack, and we launch a national guilt complex. We don't ask him to say he's sorry. We prefer all of us just looking sorry.

Neil's wrong here. This is a Western disease, not an American one.

Case in point: Spain.

Maybe Gorelick should appologize for her law firm representing the Saudis against the 911 families...

Maybe Dan Rather should appologize to the families of the victims of the violence in Fallujah for saying they had to work in Iraq because of the lack of jobs in the US.

Maybe Tom Daschle should appologize to America for putting the blatently partisan Gorelick on the 911 Commission. At least he should be saddened.

Maybe the voters of New York should appologize to America for putting out-of-state residents in the Senate. I can't believe there aren't enough qualified real residents in a State that large.

Maybe the liberals on the 911 Commission should appologize for their obvious attempt to hang the Clinton legacy on President Bush.

Maybe the lamestream media should appologize to America for being, ..., biased.

Maybe Air-Head America should appologize to the stations for their bad checks.

Maybe the RINOs in the Senate of the United States should appologize to America for their votes on impeachment of WJC.

Maybe the terrorists should appologize to all the innocent families who are missing loved ones.

Maybe the Democrats should appologize to the world for creating the environment that allows terrorists to run free.

To the liberals it's all about feeling good about yourself, and to those of us that have to suffer their BS feelgood crap, it's all about wanting to be have a world with freedom and opportunity. I would rather act now for good than to appologize for bad. Appologies are not going to rid the world of terrorism.

David Gregory is married to Beth Wilkinson, who was a prosecutor for the Justice Department (Jamie Gorelick), in the Oklahoma City bombing trials.

And IIRC Beth was involved in some significant obstructing of justice in those trials.

Poor David, Beth and Jamie must really be sweating it out these days and not just because Jamie has been exposed as a major perp in making it easy for al Qaeda to attack us on 911.

No, their problem is much worse than that. Jayna Davis is back on talk radio again and people are starting to talk about the Iraqi connection to the OKC bombing. It's gonna be tough on people who covered for the Iraqi perps involved in the OKC bombing.

I've thought right along through this commission that if anyone other than Islamonazis should apologize for 911, it should be Jamie Gorelick and her boss. IMO David Gregory is going to rue the day he hammered the DNC apology/mistakes line. Payback's coming.

Oh, you're not going to put it in his soup? ;)

(Kinda gives new meaning to "oyster stew" doesn't it?)

The left has no moral foundation, they are not grounded in anything solid when it comes to judging and knowing right from wrong. To them there are no absolutes and there is no right and wrong - so when something goes wrong they don't know where to point the finger and who to blame so they just have their stupid orgy of "well, I guess we're all guilty here or something, so lets just all take a part in the guilt, kiss and make up." The wimpified parents of this day don't even have the kahoonas to discipline their own children who are spoiled raging little bratty punks, how can we expect them to show any anger or disdain for the wrongs done outside their home. Their own flesh and blood doesn't even get disciplined by them, they are to darn lazy to do it. It just so much work and all to tell little Johny not to kick the dog - how these girly men gonna find the guts to punch out Osama or Sudam's lights.

LOL! Oysters gregory, I presume. But this entire attempt to get the president to apologise is simply to make him look weak to our enemies. How these creeps do play to them. Don't say "uncle" unless you put Sam after it IMHO. That would probably be ok with me.

Please. Bush was not about to grovel before the press and give Kerry ammo for his anti-Bush ads. Bush isn't stupid PLUS he has nothing to apologize for anyway.

When I hear people demand an apology I think of the John Wayne movie where he tells the young 2nd Lt "Don't apologize, it's a sign of weakness"

Always though John Wayne movies was excellent examples of having proper morals and values in life.

I wish his answer to the question was, "well, my most recent mistake was calling on you" but it would have been inappropriate for the occasion and the howls would still be reverberating. But it would have been cool.

These folks get a great deal of coverage -- deservedly so for all their suffering.

Cavuto is being too nice here. The reason these people are now getting coverage is for their attempt to turn personal tragedy into partisan political gain.

No one begrudges them their need to grieve. We share that grief. But the line must be drawn somewhere and this seems to be the place.

He said this? Maybe Dan Rather should apologize to all the honorable men and women serving our country selflessly because they value freedom and security. Unbelievable.

I think they're fishing for sound bytes for political ads.....I haven't looked, but what happened with Roves "admission" that he wishes the Mission Accomplished banner was not hanging behind the president on aircraft carrier last year? Headlines, right?

As a lawyer once told me: An apology is construed in court as taking full responsibility for an event, opening your wallet to those "harmed", and saying "Take it all, from now until my death."
