A U.S. intelligence report in 1995 raised the possibility of a foreign terrorist attack inside the United StatesA couple of years after the first WTC attack.
Gee, that's some impressive sleuthing. I wonder what that study cost.

No mention of the elephant in the room - the Gorelick memo. How interesting.

A National Intelligence Estimate in 1995 said "there probably would be a foreign terrorist attack on the U.S. homeland and it highlighted civil aviation as a particular vulnerability," an intelligence official said.
What was the actual date of this report? Murrah/OKC wasn't exactly 2 white guys acting along; although much of the evidence has been buried.

Even Clinton staffers know the truth
But according to former Clinton staffers, it's doubtful Gorelick will budge. "She's on that commission for a reason, and it isn't because of her brilliant legal mind," says a former DNC and Clinton White House staffer. "She's there to make sure Bush and his team look as bad as possible and to protect the Clintons and Reno."

All US Intelligence sources said in 1981 (perhaps even earlier, but I can only testify to what I know) there would be serious terrorist attacks within the continental USA, eventually.
If there is an individual in this country that cant imagine any worse terrorist attack than using commercial aircraft as a bomb, well all I have to say is you have no imagination, and no exposure to what is possible in probable future terrorism tactics.
I will refrain from listing the probable scenarios, but suffice it to say we aint seen nothing yet.
As God as my wittness, I pray we won't endure what I expect to happen next.
But looking around at the large numbers of the certifiably stupid people among my fellow citizens who still refuse to participate in actual physical reality, it seems very clear that, absent the second coming of Jesus Christ, we will.

All of this is hogwash. Just ask the hog himself:

The commission and this report coming out now is incredible. There were terrorist experts on Fox and other news stations a number of times preceding 9-11, well before Bush was in office, talking about the good possibility of terror attacks on U.S. soil. Someone even wrote a book about it.
Unfortunately, these interviews were fill-ins on the news between the Monica and impeachment stories. It appears the election/chad fiasco has also fallen by the wayside in the timeline of events. Everyone was too preoccupied with the antics of the former administration and trying to restore some assemblence of order to our government.
There were reports long before 9-11, but everyone was too distracted, including ourselves, with the national soap opera that was playing out. Has the commission talked about the first days of the Bush administration, when they had to clean up the offices after previous staff members trashed them?
Collectively, our country was distracted. We'll never know if 9-11 could have actually been prevented. However, it was all the distraction that caused us to be so dysfunctional.
