In the late 70's I had a store in LaJolla, CA. This was during the time that the great immigration of South Africans started to get away from the inevitable end to aparteid. The contact with this bunch was , well let's say eye opening. They thought and made it clear that LaJolla or other toney locals were the only places in America privileged enough to have them as residents.

They learned quite qickly that Black Housekeepers in America would not put up with their nasty, arrogant and demeaning treatment. It went around quickly that no Black should even think about working for them. The B****'s from SA were not worth the money. So Mexicans got stuck taking these jobs. Especially illegals.

Her attitude apparently has been inbred by her aparteid loving Father. They found out their Krugerrands were worthless her, made life difficult. Hienz....Real American money. This group of SA's are one of the coldest bunch I've ever met.

I would say your assessment is pretty accurate given my experiences with that crowd.
