Could OKC 'silver bullet' have prevented 9-11?

New book connects the dots from Saddam to 1995 attack

With the nation's attention drawn to the 9-11 Commission hearings and high-level finger pointing on all sides, investigative reporter Jayna Davis' newly released book, "The Third Terrorist: The Middle Eastern Connection to the Oklahoma City Bombing," sets out a disturbing scenario of law-enforcement failures and suggests the Sept. 11 attacks possibly could have been prevented if evidence of an Iraqi and al-Qaida link to OKC had been pursued.

In her book, published by WND Books, Davis documents a compelling body of evidence that illustrates how Iraqi intelligence agents infiltrated the United States to recruit and assist Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols in the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building - evidence the FBI refused to receive from Davis and investigate in 1997. Among the many revelations are court records that suggest one of McVeigh's and Nichols's accused Middle Eastern handlers had foreknowledge of the 9-11 plot.

Furthermore, Davis documents her contention the government purposefully and willfully ignored evidence that implicated Middle Eastern suspects - evidence that FBI and governmental sources believe possibly could have prevented the terrorist attacks of 9-11.

Davis writes that in November 1997, Hussain Hashem Al-Hussaini - a former Iraqi Republican Guardsman whom multiple eyewitnesses identified as McVeigh's elusive accomplice, John Doe 2 - confided to his psychiatrist that he was anxious about his airport job because "if something were to happen there, I (Al-Hussaini) would be a suspect." At the time, Al-Hussaini was employed at Boston Logan International Airport, where two of the four 9-11 suicide hijackings originated.

Iraq-al-Qaida link

"The Third Terrorist" strongly rebuts former Clinton aide Richard Clarke's assertion that Saddam and al-Qaida were not linked, exposing Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh as a "lily white" recruit who acted in collusion with a cadre of Iraqi soldiers.

In his book, "Against All Enemies," Clarke acknowledges he "could never disprove" that McVeigh's accomplice, Terry Nichols, learned the macabre genius of terrorist bomb making under the training of Philippines-based al-Qaida explosives expert Ramzi Yousef, the convicted mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Davis first broke this lead eight years ago and uncovered eyewitness testimony directly linking the Kansas farmer to Osama bin Laden's chief general. According to her research, Terry Nichols and Ramzi Yousef met in the southern Philippines in the early 1990s to discuss bomb making.

Other revelations in Davis' book include:

a.. Saddam Hussein dispatched intelligence operatives to carry out the bombing of an American federal building to avenge his humiliating Gulf War defeat.

b.. Acting upon evidence compiled by Davis, David Schippers (former chief investigator for the impeachment of Bill Clinton) demanded a June 2001 meeting with Attorney General John Ashcroft to prevent what he prophetically termed "terrorists blowing up Lower Manhattan."

c.. The failure to examine a Middle Eastern connection in Oklahoma City spawned an emboldened Islamic extremist entity to commit wholesale murder on a scale the world had never before seen.

d.. What Davis calls the "proven connection" between bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. Commented R. James Woolsey, director of central intelligence, from 1993-1995: "This fascinating product of Jayna Davis' thorough and dogged investigative reporting effectively shifts the burden of proof to those who would still contend that McVeigh and Nichols executed the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing without the support of a group or groups from the Middle East."

Please add me to the OKC list. Jayna Davis was all over this thing as soon as it happened. She was on Coast to Coast with Art a bunch of times.

The "wall" between "intelligence" and criminal set up by Gorelick on March 4, 1995 in the secret memo was essentially a hear no evil, see no evil effort to shut out the rumblings they were getting.

A pretty sound theory, but I would add that the wall was a way to keep FBI from following up on illegal Dem. foreign fundraising activities.

Klintoon and the RATS are complicit in the Middle East terror that has befallen our very own people...remember how long it took to strip away more of our rights with the 'Anti-Domestic-Terror' legislation imm. following OKC?

And now they are trying to overthrow our President and surely the rest of the Constitution and our God-given, federally protected rights.

I say all bets are off and then are no rules anymore if the country is to survive.

Wanna bet there won't be a pro-Kerry terrorist attack before the election, with a 'truce-offer' that if we elect Kerry and give the viper's den back to the snakes, we won't get hit again?

I have one, along with the overlay to the profile sketch of John Doe #2, and it is a match. I don't know if it will scan good or not. I will see. I haven't been able to get Jayna's book yet, so I don't know if it is in there or not.

I have no idea because I haven't read Evans-Picards book. I just know that Jayna has been working for 9 years on this case. She has interviewed hundreds of witnesses. I had the privilege of interviewing some of them also, at Jayna's request. I have read the affidavits of the others. Rock solid statements. There is no question that there were ME men involved in the OKC bombing. But then again...the BOLO that went out at a little after 9:15 AM on the morning of 4-19-95 was for ME men in a pickup seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed. I believe they were involved from what I personally heard at the command post that day, and more so from what I have seen in Jayna's investigative work.

Well, from what I have heard, most have been sealed and have not and most likely will not be released or shown. There were all kinds of surveillance cameras on the Murrah building and surrounding buildings. The tapes from the key cameras have been sealed or classified from what I remember. Not sure though. It would be interesting to see them.

Well, my opinion has been and is this....What was the one thing that clinton wanted more than anything for his "legacy"? Middle East peace. He worked for years on brokering peace between Israel and Palentine. He got Mubarek (spelling, sorry) to give in so many demands of Arafat that it was crazy. He tried and tried to make that work. Any evidence that there was a ME connection to OKC, or TWA 800 or any other acts, would have caused the American Public to demand war action in return. Just as 9-11 did. If that information had gotten out...his plans for his "legacy" would have died a quick death, because we would have been at war with Iraq and other ME regimes. Remember, the man guy in Jayna's investigation Al Hussaini, is a former Iraqi Republican Guard member. A possible direct link to OKC and Iraq...and this war we are in now, would have occurred in 95-96. Would have killed that legacy.

The Gorlick memo came obviously some time after the first World Trade Center bombing. I think a decision was made that we are not going to allow or look for ME connections to any terrorist activity here in America, so that Bill could get his legacy. Just think of what history would have said about the person that brought peace to the most troubled area of the world for the past 2000 years? Big stuff.

Plus...it was obvious that the Clinton administration was after fundamentalist, white, religious men. Not that they didn't deserve to be prosecuted, but we had the Branch Davidian mess, all over some weapons charges, on a guy that could have easily been arrested when he was walking down the street in Waco the days and week leading up to the standoff, and then Tim McVeigh. Yes, McVeigh was guilty, but that was all they wanted. A couple of disaffected, disillusioned, fundamentalist, white, religious men. More David Koresh types.

I could go on but I will spare you all. Sorry. Most people, that I know here in OKC believe there is more to the bombing than has been officially told.

I saw the pics on Jaynadavis.com, and they used the profile composite sketch with surveillance pics of Alhusseini. The frontal composite is also worth a comparison.

The surveillance photos aren't that good, which leads me to believe that there aren't many quality images of this character.
