PORN ACTOR'S HIV INFECTION FREEZES ADULT FILMING

BEIJING, April 16 (Xinhuanet) -- Filming in California's multi-billion-dollar porn industry has been frozen after a popular actor tested positive for the virus that causes AIDS.

Porn actor Darren James tested positive for HIV this week in screening conducted routinely on the industry's 1,200 regular actors.

Industry advocates immediately called for a 60-day moratorium on filming so that others could be tested.

The Los Angeles-based industry normally completes three to four adult films a day.

It must now wait to see if the deadly virus has spread to 14 actresses who had onscreen sex with James, or to the 35 sex partners the women subsequently had.

I know a lot of times they'll change their minds well before they die from blood loss ---- I'm not sure I think that's hypocrisy or a change of heart.

But why are they exibitionists ? There is a reason behind everything. We don't know what happened to these people to make them gravitate towards being in porn.

I wonder. I think a lot get into drugs and then need money for that, some actually don't want to do any real work and figure getting paid to have sex works for them. I think some just got into porn themselves and let themselves go deep into that route --- they did too much sex and are chasing some kind of high they sometimes get --- just like drug addicts. Probably many of the women got into porn to make some boyfriend happy or in an attempt to have boyfriends and don't know any other way to live or maybe like you said were abused and figure it's a good way to make money.

So I'm to believe that this translates into everyone refraining from all unprotected sex for 60 days, when they haven't refrained from unprotected sex for more than 60 hours for the past several years. Do I have that right?

I do not shed tears when porn actors gets AIDS, nor do I rejoice in their suffering.

Same here --- I don't rejoice --- but I don't care either --- I'm not going to lose any sleep over someone who knew the risks and in such a "career" that serves no useful purpose --- unlike airline pilots, miners, and others who also risk their lives.

I don't believe all suffering is with no purpose and that suffering can't bring salvation. Maybe after some of these people contract AIDS they start to wonder about souls and God, maybe they reconsider the materialistic hedonistic pleasure world that was all they knew and look around for some kind of meaning. Maybe they find something more. Believe it or not --- I actually know someone who is a cancer survivor who said as strange as it might sound she is actually glad they got cancer because of the way she was living --- bitter and complaining --- and the jolt made her open her eyes and change. She said now she thanks God for every day she wakes and appreciates every small thing that went unnoticed before. I actually knew recovering alcoholics say something similar --- they were glad they went to hell and back because they felt their pain made them something they weren't before.

v17 Where is the rejoicing? Who is this "enemy"? Who caused the stumble or is overthrown?

v18 Lest the LORD see it..... see what? And turn away HIS wrath from him.

So you are saying the LORD gave HIV and I am rejoicing and now I will be getting "HIS" wrath....

So I guess you consider sin to be God's wonder? If so, God must have caused these "actors" to sin unknowingly from eternity past in order to receive the glory of His wonderful work of pornography. Thanks for removing all guilt from the participants of this vile profession and transferring it to God, who now becomes the author of evil.

BTW, your delight in the judgement of others is the antithesis of the Love of Christ, which is a work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of all true believers. Jesus himself said to his disciples (when they wanted to call for fire from heaven to consume those who rejected Jesus' ministry), "You do not know what spirit you're of. The son of man came to save lives not to destroy them."

Shutting down the pornography industry, even for a week, is objectively immensely good. Do I rejoice in that? D*mn straight I do.

The original post, and several that followed, rejoiced in death sentences for humans. Do you rejoice over that or not?

And it is better for a sinner to die, rather than to commit one more grave sin, or lead one other person into grave sin.

I would be much more concerned about the judgement to be meted out for eternity for false teachers as well as the rest of us "except we repent." At least with HIV, there is still time to repent. Some judgements are more merciful than others.

No wonder! You are indeed free to be an agnostic, that is your choice. Most on this earth were put here to make a choice, as it is written. There are some who already made the choice, and that is written as well.

Now I do not rejoice over your choice anymore than I rejoice with a porn star being a porn star. I did not write the BOOK, and if you are not interested what the BOOK instructs that is your choice.

I will not ignore what the BOOK instructs, and I have no say in what you or the porn stars latter end will be. MY duty is to plant seeds and it is between the individual and our Heavenly Father whether the seeds grow.

It's like those jackass stunts where someone gets hurt --- or those Darwin award things --- it's not so much gloating but it's like "duh!! what did you think was going to happen???" Even if one doesn't believe in God --- then it's Nature punishing them. A woman having sex with 35 different men in a sort time is not acting according to nature because that kind of promiscuity in itself guarantees child who have no clue who their father is, all kinds of sexual diseases being spread. Well when I responded I was not aware you were agnostic.

I will put it to you like this. This flesh body dies no matter what, pron people or bad eaters or innocent babies.

Christ said in Matthew 10:28 And Fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear HIM Which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Obviously since you are agnostic you fear more the death of the flesh than death of the soul.

Not just immoral but unnatural as well. You really wouldn't see promiscuity to that kind of extent in any of the mammals. It's always been a disease spreading lifestyle --- there isn't much new with HIV.

None? Really? Cause as far as I know nobody's being forced to watch porn, certainly not buildings full of people. And I'm sure that if it were to happen it would be considerably less unpleasant than being blown up.
