Union voters and DemocRats disguised as Indepedents are crossing over and voting for Specter in the primaries. SANTORUM GET A CLUE - THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT GOING TO VOTE FOR SPECTER IN THE GENERAL ELECTION. Not only will he lose against the Rat Senatorial candidate, thereby costing the GOP a precious Senate seat, but Bush will lose Pennsylvania's electoral votes as disgusted conservatives stay home.

Even if Specter somehow holds on to his seat, HE WILL BACKSTAB THE PRESIDENT JUST LIKE HE DID BEFORE WHEN HE BLOCKED HIS JUDICIAL NOMINEES AND VOTED AGAINST BUSH'S TAX CUTS, and just like he Borked Judge Robert Bork before-hand.

Specter = Ultra-RINO who should be put out to pasture.

Santorum is just playing it safe. There's no need to go all out and endorse Toomey when Toomey is running a fine campaign on his own. Toomey is a rising star for the GOP - I know Specter is RINO scum but he's still an R. And that R is valuable when you consider it may be the difference between a GOP majority or a GOP minority.

Just stick with the incumbent - regardless of what happens the GOP will still retain a Senate seat. Besides, Toomey's supporters can read between the lines. They know that Bush and Santorum's support of Specter is half-hearted at best and tepid at worst and they're only doing it because that's the way politics are played in Washington, unfortunately.
